From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area.

We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She commented that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended.

The crust, fresh buffalo and basil are all great but what sets them apart from all the others, even the acclaimed rose pizzeria around the corner, is the tomato sauce. Bright and acidic it carries all the parts to great heights.

From pasta to pizza and even appetizers. The pizza we chose is the Norma. The eggplant was so tender and delicious! The crust was perfect. The drinks were delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back.

Being just right around the corner from the restaurant Lucia's of Berkeley was a huge bonus because I could just walk over there and leave the trunk parked in Hobo John's driveway. I'll tell you..it was a big surprise to see a 1%er motorcycle club running the security there, but not as big of a surprise as the chicken pasta in alfredo sauce I enjoyed from Lucia's kitchen..it was Amazing. 5 stars all day long.
