Reviews - Le Pho
Reviews summary
Le Pho offers a mix of experiences, with some patrons praising the cozy atmosphere and standout dishes like pho ga, while others point to consistently disappointing service and food quality. Complaints about rude staff, subpar spring rolls, and inflated prices mar the appeal. Although the restaurant showcases vibrant vegetarian options and flavorful broths, the inconsistency is troubling, with many dishes falling flat in comparison to competitors. While some dishes earn accolades for their freshness and taste, the overall sentiment reflects a sense of decline and disillusionment, leaving diners to seek better fare elsewhere in the vibrant Bay Area pho scene.

Great food! I got the grilled chicken rice plate and it was one of the best grilled chicken I’ve eaten, amazing flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious and the coconut shaved ice was tasty and sweet.Vegetarian options: Tofu spring rolls and a whole section of vegetarian dishes!
When you feel run down and have a sore throat, nothing quite heals like a hot bowl of pho! This location is right around the corner from me, so while it's not my favorite, it's convenient. The portions are enormous and the broth is tasty. It's hard to completely finish a large order. I did the Pho combo meat and my friend ordered the Bun Bo Hue. Everything was flavorful and it hit the spot. The service can be a bit blunt but I'm there for the food, so no issue there lol.
I live around the block, have been here a few times and every time I visit it continues to go downhill. The service/servers are rude and judgmental. I asked for an iced coffee with no ice, they couldn't do that so I asked for light ice, they took that as me being a difficult customer and brought it out as a coffee on the side. When I poured it over the ice it filled up to the middle line. That's unacceptable and for them to be okay with that was unbelievable. (I have ordered this drink before and it fills the top of the handle. This amount is unacceptable and if I had a restaurant I would be embarrassed to serve any customer a half full drink, call it a drink and charge full price. HUGE RIP OFF. I used to bring my friends, parents and others here, but not anymore. And if anyone asks for recs or about Le Pho I will tell them it's a rip off, the pho is good but there's good pho everywhere. Nothing special about this place and with rude servers and now shorting people in drinks who knows what else they do if you ask the wrong questions. Wish I could give 0 stars.
This is a regular spot for my partner and I who love pho! Their beef pho is among the best I have had--they've converted me from a ramen lover to pho lover almost overnight! Their service is always prompt and friendly and the food and drinks are always top quality.
Indoor set up is nice and spacious. Very open and great natural light. They have two single use bathrooms, they are not the cleanest. Food was mehh. I wouldn't go here again for this reason. The spring rolls were overpacked with lettuce. They just tasted different than most spring rolls I've had. The veggie pho I got I noticed again tasted different and I realized they didn't have vermicelli noodles and they were spaghetti noodles. Which I was just a little confused. The service was good food came out quick, and they sat you down at a table of their choice. So you couldn't sit anywhere you wanted. I wouldn't go here again. It's not authentic.

Loved my experience here! The interior is comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We have the 20 big Pho and 78 rice Vermicelli salad. Would definitely come back.
Excellent vietnamese spot with tons of vegetarian options they have a completely vegetarian section of their menu! We ordered the spicy vegetarian vermicelli soup, the lemongrass tofu, and the pan fried noodles. The soup was fabulously spicy and hit the spot on a chilly evening. The lemongrass tofu was an incredible burst of flavor. But our favorite dish was the pan fried noodles: these wide, crispy noodles were seriously delicious and texturally delightful. Highly recommend!
Excellent pho gaa! It's gonna be another one! Nice lucky waiters. SCORE! 3/6/21 Not so great today. Shimp spring rolls smell and taste old and not enough diving sauce. Can't taste peanut at all. Must taste up and include 2 small containers or 1 large or cut order in half. I thought to make my own sauce for the other half, but threw it in compost as they already had a little funky. Last time the noodles were thin rice noodles in the Pho Ga. This time it was the big flat noodles that are good for saucy stir fry, but too much for Pho ga imo. Really jumped on the paprika and bean sprouts for a big order. Also ordered the 42- apartment or Pan Fried Seafood-Hu Tieu Xao Hai San and asked for super spicy and although it was the best of the 3 items, it was far away from spicy hot. Not even close. Ask for extra Sirancha sauce. There were 4 and that was not almost enough for this much food. It would have been a part of the lack of heat. Could not help to think that an organic roasted chicken for 1/4 of the price and got 3 meals out of it. Still enjoyed the happy customer person. It was happy to hear the wok while cooking in the back. Try the Pho ga again, but will make sure that thin rice noodles and extra jalapenos and go regular size.
Eating is a lot more expensive, but it's generous. I had a lot of meat in my pho! More worth. The pork with rice is large and tasty.
Came in for lunch on a chilly day and ordered pho ga w wide noodles (chicken pho , bo luc lac (shaking beef , and a viet coffee. Everything was so!! yummy!! The broth was clear and soothing and the chicken wasn’t tough at all. The beef was *super* tender and might be the best bo luc lac I’ve had at a restaurant. Fresh viet coffee is always a treat, and it is definitely strong. The interior is clean and bright, and the staff are kind and welcoming! Easily will be back many times in the future :

One of the best Vietnamese restaurant's in the Bay. They also make 100% authentic fresh Pho. Not too many places in the bay area makes theirs this good! 5/5 A+

Loved my experience here! The interior is comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. We got the no. 20 large pho and no. 78 rice vermicelli salad. Would definitely come back.
Food is a lil more expensive but it?s generous. I had lots of meat at my pho! Worth the extra price. The pork chop with rice is large portion and tasted great.
Food is pretty good, prices not so much. There are plenty of great Pho restaurants in the SF/East Bay offering fare of equal quality and far greater quantity. Spent $62 on two clam shells of noodles, half a container of calamari (a $10 container of calamari cleverly packed with wedge of lime INSIDE the box) and three beverages. Not particularly budget friendly head up the road to Super Super Pho for great food, relaxed atmosphere and awesome staff.
