Was Joe Riley at El Patio a mag?
Another dish that caught my attention was a new addition: a birria ramen bowl. It came topped with crispy tortilla strips that were so good, I couldn't stop munching on them—so much so that I had to take a picture before they all disappeared! The noodles were excellent, and the broth had a lovely hint of red enchilada sauce that I happily drank up. At the bottom of the bowl, I found a generous piece of slow-cooked be... View all feedback.
What Michelle P dislikes about El Patio:
As for the food itself, the salsa lacked spice, and the chicken tacos were pretty average—I really wished they were grilled or better seasoned. The nachos were decent, and the burrito was quite large (thanks to all the rice), but I wouldn’t return unless I had plenty of time to spare, just to see if they could do better with their other dishes. I was so hungry that maybe I gave them an extra star just out of desperat... View all feedback.
Was so excited to find this place in Berkeley while I was visiting. Loved the setup indoors and outdoors there was a band playing live music in outdoor patio seating nicely setup in shade! Staff was really friendly to take order and get us seated. Loved arepas Was searching for good arepas for a really long time in Bay Area and these ones were really good, we also got yuca fries which was new thing to try for me drinks were good too! Will definitely go back next time to try patacons and more arepas
This place truly offers the best of everything! The owner is fantastic, the chefs are top-notch (make sure to ask for Tony!), the service is excellent, and the cocktails are delicious. The patio is lovely, and the patrons add to the great atmosphere. Why take the chance of missing out on this gem?
Great spot to catch the World Cup!!! Tacos, tacos, tacos, tequila, tequila, mezcal, tacos!
Delicious food in a fun, casual atmosphere. El Patio has some unique dishes on offer, such as Elote Ribs, Mushroom Ceviche, and Duck Fat Fries. It's definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant, but definitely give them a try. It's a no frills place. You order at the bar, find your own table, and they'll bring your order to you. But that's part of the charm with this place. The staff is extremely friendly. It was a good experience overall. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
