Cheese 'n Stuff - Feedback

Was Brian G at Cheese 'n Stuff a mag?
Definitely a hidden (but not really) good deli spot near UC's campus. I got a dutch crunch sandwich, which was great. The two co-workers I was with got the falafel wrap, which looked epic. I'll bet getting that the next time I'm in Berkeley.Owner was there and the place feels like an institution (which I guess it is). View all feedback.
What Miss L dislikes about Cheese 'n Stuff:
The sandwich is OK, got pastrami and thought it was lacking in flavor, had little meat and overall lackluster. You have to ask them to warm up your sandwich even if they are a “hot sandwich”. View all feedback.

Top 5 restaurant, anywhere, all time. Plain and simple. This is a classic spot. Don’t miss it.

The deli sandwiches at this restaurant are absolutely delicious. The Dutch crunch rolls are perfectly crunchy, and the veggie sandwich was expertly made and incredibly flavorful. The portions are generous, ensuring you get excellent value for your money.
Southside offers a wide range of lunch choices, but Cheese 'N' Stuff should be your top pick. While it may not be fancy, it provides plenty of options. Don't worry if there's a long line, as it moves quickly. The service is efficient and welcoming.
Cheese 'N' Stuff stands out as a beloved deli, particularly among college students seeking quality yet budget-friendly meals. The menu boasts an array of sandwiches, with the Dutch crunch rolls and turkey options frequently highlighted for their taste and generous portions. While some sandwiches might lack flavor or warmth unless requested, patrons appreciate the efficient service and warm atmosphere. The absence of seating doesn’t detract from the experience, as many enjoy taking their meals back to campus. A charming blend of affordability and deliciousness makes Cheese 'N' Stuff a noteworthy pitstop in the area.

I went here with my brother, who'd frequently order a sandwich from Cheese n Stuff when he was a student. The Poor Boy sandwich, which has since been renamed, was his favorite, and I can reaffirm that it is delightful. Great sandwiches, a fair price, and conveniently close to campus.
Great people serving excellent sandwiches, thank you Sam and Barbara! Try the falafel avocado sandwich on a roll
I just want to say the owners are truly genuine. Yesterday, I went in to buy an apple, and since it was a small purchase late in the day, they told me to just take one. It really shows they’re sincere members of the Berkeley community, which means a lot to me as a Cal grad. Cheers to Cheese 'n Stuff!
I haven’t been yet, but my girlfriend, a Cal alum, can’t stop praising Cheese 'n Stuff! She says that back around 2012, athletes like Nathan Adrian, Jared Goff, Aaron Rodgers, and Jason Kidd all used to eat there. It comes highly recommended—by her, and hopefully by me soon!
Definitely one of the top spots near campus for lunch. Although the lunch crowd can get hectic, they manage the line efficiently. It's also one of the most budget-friendly places for sandwiches in Berkeley, with excellent vegetarian choices like veggie and falafel.

This is a stand-up sandwich shop of the first order. There are not too many chic parts about Sam's business, but you know that you have high quality sandwiches at a bargain basement price. Turkey Delight is probably my favorite sandwich in the world as I love sandwiches. Fresh, drawn turkey, count me in! None of this butterball compressed turkey... Just goodness, Thanksgiving on a bungalow. Yum, yum, yum, let me get something!
If there is any hint, the summer after my New Year, I took lunch here almost every day to the point where the Deli type recognized me as regular. It is so~ dirt cheap and tasty that you are pressed hard to find such an amazing deal elsewhere near the campus. the sandwich selection is more than sufficient, and the Deli window also offers a variety of typical Deli type foods – i.e. pasta salads, falafel balls, fresh fruits, etc. I always loved to watch lunch in cheese a stuff and walk back to campus (there is no designated area to eat in cheese ’n stuff) on Aprons people. ~sigh... returns loving memories...
I finally went here and it wasn't disappointing. The sandwiches they offer are very tasty and of sufficient size. You can choose the type of bread you want, and I have some sweet French bread, and it was good. All sandwiches were dirty cheap, with sandwiches between 2-4 dollars. This is absolutely ridiculous when you look at the silence of the sandwich. It is enough to fill most people unless you eat a lot. The sandwiches are also quickly prepared so that a long line is not so bad. The only drawback is that there are no tables to sit, although this is not really a problem considering that it is a deli type place. To make the place even better, I wore my Cal jacket and they gave me a discount!!! My sandwich, which was normally $3,50, costs only $3.00. I'm not sure if this is because it's the week before the big game against Stanford, or if they always do, but that was pretty crazy brilliant. The overall sandwiches are probably between 4-5 stars, but the restaurant gets a 5-star rating because it is so damn cheap.
Cheese Stuff could also change her name to Savings Load because they help put college kids through school. They do this because their food is so brilliant, but so cheap! I don't think I could have paid for school if it wasn't for this place. Location in the best location (especially if you have a Unit 3 Freshman (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha But the words are coming quickly. There are long lines during the busy lunch hour, but they move quickly, quickly and efficiently.

The best, most friendly service. Much cheaper than $15 for 2! You can get a sandwich for $5 on the best dutch crunch of your life. As a 4th year senior, it's a staple amongst my friends. 3.2/5? wrong.
