Was Brooke Jakubowski at Bongo Burger a mag?
From 1983 to 1993 I lived down the block from Bongo Burger, on the first block of Regent St. When I, and later my wife and I, needed a quick, delicious and deeply satisfying meal, this was our go-to place. At least twice a week for three months after our baby arrived. We loved it! Meat on the sandwiches was always moist, well salted and very tasty. Falafel was the bomb. Fries were always hot and crisp. Back then they... View all feedback.

This place was a great spot to stop and grab a burger and fries, but they also offer Falafel and Dolmas! I tried the baconburger and it was absolutely delicious. The fries were crispy and crinkle cut, and they even offered Sriracha to mix into the ketchup (YES!). Overall, it was a fantastic spot for a lunch break in the area.

I have been coming to this burger spot near Oscars for 15 years and it is my favorite! They offer delicious krinkle cut fries and their burgers are top-notch with generous toppings, large size, and cooked perfectly. The baklava is also a must-try! The staff at the counter are always friendly and make the best Ranch Dressing. The chefs here are excellent and consistently deliver great food.

The Cal Berkeley Stack is a favorite among college students and families for its fresh and delicious food. They offer traditional burgers and fries as well as a delightful selection of Persian dishes to keep things interesting and tasty. Customers will not be disappointed. The food here is really good. Since my first arrival in 1986 you have always made good food. I can bring vegetarian friends and they have a good choice. The Tabouleh is fresh and her hummus is great. I like them sitting outside.

How can something that looks like a Subway sandwich taste so good? I got the Persian (lamb) burger and was surprised that it didn't look like a typical burger. When I look a bite though, it didn't really matter what it looked like. I got it without the condiments and it was still full of flavor! The lamb is really tender and cooked well. My only thing was that it was a tad salty. Good thing you can only get it in a combo meal so it came with a soda which I think goes really well with burgers. I'm usually not a crinkle fries person, but the fries were really good. Overall, the whole Persian burger combo meal was really good. i would recommend.

Nestled in a bustling area, Bongo Burger has distinguished itself as a beloved eatery since the 1980s, offering a satisfying blend of traditional burgers and exotic Persian dishes. Diners rave about the moist, flavorful meat in sandwiches, with standout items like the Persian lamb burger and the legendary falafel. Crinkle-cut fries consistently impress, rivaling even the biggest fast-food chains. Whether enjoying outdoor seating or a quick takeout, guests appreciate the friendly staff and the diverse options available for vegetarians. With a loyal following and a penchant for fresh ingredients, Bongo Burger continues to captivate taste buds, enticing both new visitors and longtime fans alike.

The burger is HUGE, I didn't expect that and with tons of sesame seed on the bun, the fresh hot fries is good. EXCELLENT service with smiling friendly staff. Definately coming back for more. Parking is a bit challenging but with walking distance there's plenty in the residential side area for 2 hours parking. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
