I visited on a scorching Sunday afternoon, and there was a lovely jazz duet playing. It was delightful! But even more delightful was their homemade vanilla syrup iced latte. Wow, it was simply delicious. Definitely worth the trip. I sat at a table with a pot of flowers and felt like I had just experienced a moment of pure joy.

The staff is friendly and the coffee is excellent. I really enjoyed my time there and ended up buying some coffee beans as well.

I don't stop every day, and I only recently learned about their location on 4th Street in Berkeley. I have been offered help, every time I have been seen milling around the various brewing accessories they have for sale. I have even been offered a chance to have some demonstrated for me. Today, I was on a call, so I held back from the line until I finished the call. When I stepped to the register, my order was ready and they remembered my name. It was a clumsy morning for me, and they even bailed me out of my own embarrassment. It's great to have personal, local businesses like this.
