Located slightly off the main path in downtown Berkeley, it offers a relaxed vibe filled with character. There's plenty of room for groups, as well as cozy nooks for more intimate gatherings. The drink selection is impressive, with many cocktail choices and a variety of quality local beers on tap, along with a daily extended happy hour that features free bottomless popcorn. Non-alcoholic options are also available. The pub occasionally hosts live music and events, and it includes a "darts range" in the back, allowing for multiple games to be played without the risk of bumping into someone else's drink. There's also a TV for catching sports events. As the first bar to open in Berkeley, Albatross boasts a rich history and is currently owned by two women.

It has a fantastic atmosphere, a great selection of beers, and very friendly staff. The happy hour perks, like complimentary popcorn, are a nice touch too. They also offer darts, pool, and board games for added fun. Prices are quite reasonable, but keep in mind that they only accept cash; however, there is an ATM at the front.

They host trivia nights that you can sign up for ahead of time, and there are plenty of board games, dartboards, and a pool table available. The pool table costs $8 per hour, and renting darts is around $3. You can also get a bowl of popcorn for about $2, and it comes with free refills. They offer a wide selection of draft beers, as well as wines and cocktails. Just a heads up: be sure to bring cash!

Enough space for groups, with many corners and crutches to enjoy smaller, more intimate meetings. Many cocktail options and high-quality local beers on tap, with a daily extended happy hour that contains free groundless popcorn. Also has some nice alcohol-free options. Occasionally hostes music and events, and has a “Darts-Range” in the back so many games can happen at the same time and safely without having to drink hip-check a neighbor. There is a TV for sport. Opening the first bar in Berkeley, Albatross has a ton of history and now belongs to two women.
