Was P I at A'cuppa Tea a mag?
This is a lovely tea spot featuring a cozy upstairs section in the back, perfect for escaping the outside world to study or enjoy a date. Best proper tea in Oakland. Can do I sweet and doesn’t burn the leaves, and super nice! Hard to find place with tea done right
The owner is such a nice lady and the cafe is so cozy! I love studying here as there is a lot of charging outlets and free, reliable wifi! It's such a relaxing environment! The boba is pretty bad and expensive (hence 4 stars instead of 5) but everything else I've had I've been happy with!
Didn't have tea but i had an awesome smoothie made of mango, kale and a bunch of other green stuff. It was super good
A'Cuppa Tea, located at 2992 College Ave./Ashby Ave. in Elmwood, is a cozy spot to unwind in a plush armchair while enjoying a wide variety of teas. I opted for a boba milk tea, handcrafted with high-quality black tea and real coconut chunks—the owner even showed me how they’re specially stored. Since I’m sensitive to caffeine and hesitant to drink boba tea in the afternoon, I was happy to learn that decaffeinated Earl Grey milk tea is available for later hours. For those unfamiliar, boba tea includes a layer of large tapioca pearls at the bottom, which you drink through an oversized straw. Along with hot teas and coffees, the menu offers a decent breakfast selection—think breakfast burritos or berry scones—and lunch options. I had the lunch special rice bowl with flavorful chicken and stir-fried vegetables. I’ve heard great things about their Thai iced tea and beef noodle soup, too. Additional seating is available upstairs in this small, family-run cafe.
