Cafe is a bit on the pricey side, but in return you get high quality goods. My go-to neighborhood spot for a good cup of coffee and a scone or sandwich. Pictured is the salame toscana sandwich
Amazing food. Perhaps the best toast of my life. The harissa egg was delicious too and the cardamom macaroon. Basically,, everything was great.. They serve Heart coffee too. Highly recommend for a breakfast, or whenever.
Still one of my neighborhood favorites! I love their eggs and their tartines. Their seasonal tomato tartine is one of my favorites. Oh and they sell the harissa they use on the eggs in a jar!!
Amazing food! Got the tomato tartine which was perfectly assembled and one of those dishes where the sum is truly greater than its parts. Overall a little pricey (tartine, coffee, and scone plus tip was close to $30), but I was surprised to find it wasworth it. Coffee was about average for the price point Note: this place is take out only; there is no seating area unless youcount the concrete ledge nearby

The service was friendly and quick. The avocado toast was delicious! It was toasted just right. They use Acme bread and fresh avocado. Yum! The vanilla latte was also great. Brewed and made to my liking. I definitely would recommend Bartavelle and will return in the future.
Yikes, $8 for a 12-oz mocha! Otherwise it's a pleasant place to have a hot bev and read
The line was out the door for brunch on the weekend. I was excited thinking it must be good. I ordered the Persian breakfast and two drinks for a friend and I. Basically got handed a plate of herbs. Did not realize the pizza bianca is just bread. Left unsatisfied after spending about $40 for two coffees and a bundle of herbs.
Good food and drink but very slow service and food isn't good enough to justify the well above average prices. We went on a Saturday morning and Acme around the corner served ~25 people before this place served 4 (we split up and waited in separate lines). Sure coffee takes longer to make, but they were really dragging it just felt frustrating.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! I tried the tomato tart, which was perfectly put together and a dish where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Overall, it was a bit pricey (the tart, coffee, scone, plus tip came to nearly $30), but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was worth it. The coffee was average for the price. Keep in mind that this place is take-out only; there is no seating area except for the nearby concrete bar.
Still one of my favorite places! I love her eggs and her tartins. Your seasonal tomato tart is one of my favorites. Oh, and they sell the Harissa they use on the eggs in a glass!
The menu at this restaurant is excellent, with standout dishes like the Persian Breakfast, Early Girl Tomato Tartine, and pickled veggies that are exceptionally delicious. The interior is small, but there is a nice outdoor patio for seating. Located conveniently next to Acme Bread, with off-street parking available. This place is truly a hidden gem!
This place is awesome! Tucked in a corner near the Acme bread shop, it has anything a good coffeeshop should have ? friendly staff, delicious coffee drinks and a great selection of toast options. They were out of avocado toast the time we visited (not in season , though we really enjoyed a trout plate! It feels like a gem spot among both locals and visitors. Want to come back there for a glass of wine ;
