I tried the tomato tart, which was perfectly put together and a dish where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Overall, it was a bit pricey (the tart, coffee, scone, plus tip came to nearly $30), but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was worth it. The coffee was average for the price. Keep in mind that this place is take-out only; there is no seating area except for the nearby concrete bar.

I liked this place so much for a quick breakfast that we were two times there while we visited berkeley. the homemade porridge was soou good. it came with celes... read more I liked this place so much for a quick breakfast that we were two times there while we visited berkeley. the homemade porridge was soou good. it came with celestial, maple syrup and mandelmilch. avo toast was also delicious, and we added tomato slices. there is not a tonne of choices, and they do “sold out” of dingen sometimes (I went back for more porridge and they were sold out), but they have a few delicious vegan options waiting without long.

Highly recommend for a breakfast, or whenever.
