Feedback
Based on others reviews of this small restaurant down a Bergerac side street, we decided to give this one a go for a impromptu family lunch.First impressions were mixed, as with a lot of these establishments the setting and menus are all quite similar. However, we were greeted by the friendly staff and sat at an outside table and quickly sorted with drinks. The menu choice is not the most extensive, and not the cheapest, and we had already decided from experience elsewhere the best value is to opt for one of the set menus. However, unlike other restaurants we had been to before, they were happy to let our children swap a couple of the options for something they preferred from the a la carte menu.Service was quick and friendly, and we were kept well replenished with freshly baked bread. Very quickly we realised the food was a good level above that we had expected. The steak that myself and my youngest son both was one of the best we had experienced in our two weeks in France and cooked to absolute perfection. The portions were very good, and everything was absolutely delicious. We would advise anyone to give this restaurant a try, and would recommend either the €29 or €39 set menus as being the best options. We spent €260 overall for the five of us, which is not a cheap meal in my book, but we left thoroughly satisfied and I can only say that this represents good value compared to some of the competition. We would happily go again!
