Gassaway’s Tastee Freeze - Bennington

Don’t let the outside fool you! We Had passed this tasty freeze for 10 years we finally stopped after dinner one night. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of all of their products. It was also very clean inside. They had a wide selection of soft serve ice cream 24 flavors to be exact along with a pretty large menu of meals! We now know why the parking lot is always packed! The food looked amazing! We enjoyed our cones!

The food is decent, but everytime we have gone this season our food has been messed up. We went today for an ice cream special that was posted on Facebook and no one working knew what we meant! They ended up giving us the wrong one and this time we just let it be. Edit to respond: Absolutely! It was for graduation day. We wanted the special Its worth it sundae by Savana, but everyone seemed confused and we received the mint one.

It was in order. nothing special. we were very surprised to see that what they called fish-fries were in a hot dog-bunker fried fish. not everything that was expected. also make sure to ask for wine sauce on the other side, the sandwich will literally swim in it, we have taken out the product to make it manageable. is was good too. what she called 'freezy' is most similar to a dq bblizzard and was pretty good. not complaining. the seats in the open were not sufficient for the parking space they had provided. like 3 picnic table and maybe 10 chairs (lawn furniture type frame) was most disturbing that the workers on the break were sitting only on folding chairs next to the staff entrance of the place and saw us eat about 10ft away, just stranger than everything.

Fast. great tasting. many options. ladies on the theke were very nice and had great smiles. reasonable prices. simple parking space. clean tables. for lunch. chili dog was basic meaty chili on a smiling grilled hot dog it was unorderly and all that a chili dog should be. I see myself as a chili dog of myself for some selfish moments. for 5 meals, drinks and 5 desserts we spent under $80, stayed full and happy. no complaining or critique points that are rare for us. also loved that 's his way from the brain park so that the children enjoyed a little post-moelection times to foot to see the duck and the brain.

I've been coming here for over 25 years, and while it has changed, it still retains that wonderful atmosphere it always had. The old train tracks behind the stand have been replaced with a walkway, and the iconic menu that used to be on the side of the building is gone. However, the food and service are just as excellent as they were 20 years ago. They still serve the best soft serve around, and I don't think you'll find a better burger anywhere else!
