Description

El Capitan's in Bellingham, Washington, USA offers a variety of delicious vegan-friendly options. The owner, though managing a busy store, was friendly and accommodating. Our order did take a little longer than expected, but the owner graciously offered to buy us a drink while we waited.

Oh captain my captain! Your sweet slaw and savory sausage came together in my mouth in such a glorious combination of flavors. I think of you often. Until we meet again ??

Time after time they are able to get me hot food, and a cool drink to go with. They have a large selection of hot dogs as well as other quick eats (my go-to is the bacon chilli cheese fries) and will always be a chill place for me to go.

Great little restaurant in Bellingham! Stopped by today and tried the German smokey and the meatball sub and both were delicious. Good portion and the prices are very reasonable. I love the selection of free condiments but you can getbacon/cheese/grilled onions/ etc for a nominal charge as well. There are even vegetarian options! Service was top notch andfriendly. Can?t wait to come back and try everything on the menu!

Best hotdogs in town! Very creative and more than 'just a hot dog stand ' I love the people and the skeletons all over and the music! So festive.

The owner was managing the restaurant, and it felt a little disorganized. He was friendly and let us know that our order might take a while, even offering to buy us a beer. However, when my hot dog arrived, it was missing the onions and vegan cheese I had requested. He graciously apologized and added the onions but couldn’t find the cheese, which was fine. I grabbed some condiments from the self-serve station and decided to take my hot dog to go. Unfortunately, when I took a bite, I found the hot dog to be tough and inedible, likely overcooked. I also noticed that the bun was very soft, and I realized I hadn’t confirmed whether it was vegan or not. This is an update to my previous review from June 27, 2024.
