Di... read more Das GUI ist eines der besten kulinarischen Adressen der Stadt. In wundervoller Lage in der Altstadt gelegen, lädt ein tolles Ambiente hier zum Verweilen ein. Die offene Küche ist wundervoll. Noch wundervoller und rarer ist allerdings die Tatsache, dass es die Küchenchef schafft ohne einen Mucks abends in vollen Stress zu arbeiten! Das nenn ich hervorragendes Zusammenspiel einer Brigade!Die Küche verwendet hohe Qualitäten. Das schmeckt man sofort. Ein gutes Handwerk zeichnet zudem die Küchencrew aus. Für den problematischen Gast mit Laktoseprobleme wird gerne alternativ gekocht.Die Selektion Weine ist aber nicht das Gelbe vom Ei. Wer wert auf sehr gute Gewächse legt, der wird hier nicht wirklich fündig. Die Karte ist zudem sehr klein. Über 60€ dir Fl. findet sich nichts mehr.Das kann das Kloetzer schon deutlich besser!Auch ist die Wahl der Beilagen im Kloetzer deutlich interessanter. Ich stimme meinen Vorredner damit zu, dass hier verbesserungsbedürftig gehandelt werden sollt.Genauso beim Kaffe. Paulini ist keine gute gute Kaffeselektion. Das Personal nicht ausreichend in Sachen Zubereitung von Kaffe geschult.Und zu guter Letzt der Service: auch der ist im Kloetzer angenehmer, authentischer, lockerer. Je nachdem, wer Sie in GUI bedient, fühlen Sie sich entsprechend angeschleimt, oder eben gut, aber hochnäsig bedient. Insgesamt ist das GUI aber eines der besten Adressen Bielefelds und in jedem Fall mindestens einen, bestimmt aber auch mehrere Besuche Wert!

From the moment we arrived until the la... read more We visited GUI for lunch based on a recommendation (unfortunately, only for the set menu) and were absolutely delighted. From the moment we arrived until the last course, we were treated with warmth, discretion, and expertise. We immediately felt welcome and in good hands. The interior is also truly excellent. The stylish, modern ambiance feels sophisticated yet cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly suits the restaurant's concept. Due to the size of the restaurant, the tables are somewhat close together, but the clever arrangement ensures that you don't feel like you're listening to conversations at the next table. We've certainly experienced this differently in other restaurants. The kitchen was, of course, the real highlight. Our seating allowed us a constant view into the open kitchen, and with our own experience in the restaurant industry, we were very surprised by the calm, disciplined, and efficient work ethic. For two people, we ordered the fish of the day and the braised ox cheeks as main courses. Both dishes were absolutely convincing: precise in flavor, perfectly balanced, and prepared with the utmost skill. Every course on the lunch menu was expertly composed, the flavors harmonized beautifully, and the attention to detail was evident. For this quality, we found the price almost reasonable. These days, you can find similar prices at a steakhouse without comparable refinement or even remotely the same level of service. Our conclusion: A visit that was well worth the nearly hour-long drive. We will gladly return and will enthusiastically recommend GUI to others.
