We visited GUI for lunch based on a recommendation (unfortunately, only for the set menu) and were absolutely delighted. From the moment we arrived until the last course, we were treated with warmth, discretion, and expertise. We immediately felt welcome and in good hands. The interior is also truly excellent. The stylish, modern ambiance feels sophisticated yet cozy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly suits the restaurant's concept. Due to the size of the restaurant, the tables are somewhat close together, but the clever arrangement ensures that you don't feel like you're listening to conversations at the next table. We've certainly experienced this differently in other restaurants. The kitchen was, of course, the real highlight. Our seating allowed us a constant view into the open kitchen, and with our own experience in the restaurant industry, we were very surprised by the calm, disciplined, and efficient work ethic. For two people, we ordered the fish of the day and the braised ox cheeks as main courses. Both dishes were absolutely convincing: precise in flavor, perfectly balanced, and prepared with the utmost skill. Every course on the lunch menu was expertly composed, the flavors harmonized beautifully, and the attention to detail was evident. For this quality, we found the price almost reasonable. These days, you can find similar prices at a steakhouse without comparable refinement or even remotely the same level of service. Our conclusion: A visit that was well worth the nearly hour-long drive. We will gladly return and will enthusiastically recommend GUI to others.

We were there again this evening with our daughter and her family to celebrate her 44th birthday, and we're always amazed by the warmth of the staff and the exquisite taste of the food. Thank you so much... A place to feel good and unwind

The GUI Restaurant offers a first-class culinary experience with an appealing ambience and a diverse menu. The dishes are creatively prepared and offer a successful fusion of different flavors. The service is professional and attentive, which contributes to an overall pleasant visit to the restaurant. Overall, GUI Restaurant is definitely a top restaurant worth visiting. Every time when I pass for business to Bielefeld I come in this restaurant. Even it's not so economic.(It's a bit pricy) the quality of the food is great. I tasted various things from the menu.Either fish or meat are extremely fresh and prepared properly.Service is excellent as well. Recomended!
This restaurant is not cheap, by Germany standards. But the food is good and well presented. It has a good location near the Old Town square. A nice area. Service was good. The menu has few items but changes regularly.
I have eaten here on a number of occasions and usually thats what they were Occasions. The food has been very good every time and I enjoy the fact that the menu is small and changes every week. That way you are forced to try something new and you get to enjoy fresh ingredients. The service is great and they know how to treat customers well. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and private, yet you are able to spy on passerbys outside the window facade.
Business lunch, 3 course meal, would definitely recommend if you are here. The starter was really great, deer with cherries , the main was ok, the fish was nice, but the mash potatoes were ice cold : Ans I had one green asparagus The table next me had the exact same Dishes but 4 more asparagus… 1 or 5… hmmm Desert was nice but average, I would skip desert next time.
Thank you GUI again for your warm hospitality and just perfect food. You are one of our favorite restaurants around the world. And we really love to come back every time we are in Bielefeld. Keep up with your great mission to please our taste buds.

After the thunderstorm tonight, the sky cleared this morning and was looking forward to a trip to Bielefeld. Parking garages there are enough in the city center, although the parking lot on the Ritterstraße, where I parked, seemed to be more of the Stone Age, the parking bays were for toy cars and the exit required all my physical use. In the pedestrian zone, the Gui impresses from the outside with simple elegance in the bistro character. I was there early at 12:00 and got a nice 2 table assigned to the open kitchen. A small card with 3 appetizers, 5 main dishes and two desserts, so I love the entrance. Service The lady gave me time and I only ordered a room warm water no problem (often I failed in restaurants already at this smallness, we only cooled it, but here thank God is not. The service asks if I wish a wine and comes with a bottle of Graham Beck Chenin blanc, it makes me taste and I take a 0.1 for 4.50 that fits perfectly with the fish. Food The map contains Mediterranean dishes that testify to their composition from a creative cuisine. Prices between 12 and 28 euros. It is also nice to offer some dishes as an appetizer. I ordered a water 2.30 and the sea bath as an appetizer 15 euros. There are warm baguettes with aioli with fresh pepper and sea salt, for me a good start. The fish is presented in a deep hot plate and is already such an eyewitness. The Risotto beautifully spicy, with radicchio and with peach vegetables, in a white foam sauce. At the edge of the plate a mini-kolrabi. The mullet in place, beautifully juicy, perfectly matched with the risotto and brought a variety of taste buds to the light. An espresso Macchiato for 2,40 was served with a fresh fluffy chick, formally completed, I was satisfied. Conclusion: A well-being place to come back. Ambience Modern reluctant ambience with simple leather legs, two and four, beautifully covered with white tablecloths and white fabric napkins. Small white orchids, on the walls lights of food and under the ceiling gold lamps that give a beautiful light. The eye-catcher in the open kitchen, in which 4 people work without hectic and concentrated. A praise in the kitchen comes without detour and motivates the chefs (here I draw from my own experience, I worked in some kitchens in my student period in Munich. Cleanliness all in the green area, also the toilets.

We had a wonderful evening with the family. Great ambience, great eating and a great service team that was always attentive. The possibility of looking over the shoulder of the kitchen makes even more pleasure in the menus. Too great reviews. at the next visit in Bielefeld again.
Best place to go in Bielefeld
Top location in the old town of Bielefeld with excellent cuisine at reasonable prices. The menu is very balanced and the regular weekly specialties are diverse. The service is super friendly and the premises are very nicely furnished. What do you want more than a satisfied guest!
