Cafe Smart Belfast East
Cafe Smart Belfast East
Description
Café Smart has been a longstanding favorite, but recent negative experiences have brought attention to some issues. These include increased staff attitude problems, high prices for children's meals, and slow service. On the flip side, the food is delicious, with a good variety of options and prompt service. The noise level from the coffee machine can be a bit disruptive, and some have experienced slow service during peak hours. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, with friendly staff and a homely vibe. While it may have its downfalls, Café Smart still offers a tasty and welcoming dining experience.

I visited Café Smart for breakfast at the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to find a seat quickly. The atmosphere was great and the décor was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious smashed avocado on wheaten bread and a small fry, all cooked perfectly. The coffee was also very good, and they offer a refill option for ordinary filter coffee. I will definitely be returning again.
Family breakfast was great. Good choice of food and my granddaughter, aged 2, ordered a babychinno for herself, brilliant! Food was hot, not greasy and well presented, obviously I had the slimmers salad, not! Lovely place to enjoy food throughout the day.
Great Saturday morning breakfast ,relaxing quiet environment upstairs reading the papers. We both had a cooked breakfast with very good portions and great coffee , all served by efficient pleasant young staff. The prices very competetive.
We had lunch here today. Delicious food and a good variety of options. We had a 2-year-old child with us and they did not give us a kids menu even though we asked. They took off $2.50 from the price when we mentioned this. The restaurant is quite small although it has an upstairs that was closed today.
Sat from 9am until 9.20am on a Sunday morning. Tried the door at 9am and it was closed although staff were inside. Tried again at 9.05 and Watched the staff inside look out at me trying to pull the handle. . Tried again at 9.15am and door was still closed. One girl was actually cleaning the windows as I tried the handle (bearing in mind the opening time was 9am) and didn't even have the decency to come to the door and tell me as to why it hadn't opened yet. The door finally opened around 9.23am no apologies no greeting just glum staff looking on as though I had given them no other choice but to finally open the doors.
