Cafe Smart Belfast East
Cafe Smart Belfast East
Description
Café Smart has been a longstanding favorite, but recent negative experiences have brought attention to some issues. These include increased staff attitude problems, high prices for children's meals, and slow service. On the flip side, the food is delicious, with a good variety of options and prompt service. The noise level from the coffee machine can be a bit disruptive, and some have experienced slow service during peak hours. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, with friendly staff and a homely vibe. While it may have its downfalls, Café Smart still offers a tasty and welcoming dining experience.

Visited today with my husband and 2 grand children. The lemon and coconut scone and the raspberry jam delicious! Great americano but I did need the large. Children treated with great patience by waitress Claire and we all loved our trip to Cafe Smart. Look forward to returning for breakfast! View all feedback.

I visited Cafe Smart for the first time on Sat past with my husband and daughter. My daughter had been raving about the place and took us to try it. It was so clean and beautifully laid out, the staff were lovely and the service was excellent. The menu had something for everyone on it and the food was delicious. Lovely relaxed dining experience and would highly recommend for brunch.
Lovely brunch spot great coffee and lots of options on the menu. Nice atmosphere is very family friendly. Also the garden is a great option for sunnier days.

Perhaps they are understaffed or not managed well but feeling unwelcome on arrival is not acceptable! Nor is their dismissal of any genuine customer concerns. The price of kids meals has nearly doubled. I think it’s outrageous to charge £7.95 for 1/2 cheese toastie, a few crisps, small fruit shoot and crispy bun. Less than a year ago it was £4.95!! Why make such a steep increase on kids food when the rest of your food has only increased by the usual 10%? I wonder have other families felt the same?
I visited Café Smart for breakfast at the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to find a seat quickly. The atmosphere was great and the décor was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious smashed avocado on wheaten bread and a small fry, all cooked perfectly. The coffee was also very good, and they offer a refill option for ordinary filter coffee. I will definitely be returning again.
