My hubby and I popped in for a quiet drink after work one day. Although there was only a couple of people there, it was warm and inviting. The bartender was friendly and recommended some Australian bourbon for my hubby. He was pleasantly surprised to find that it tasted good and ordered another! There are lots of places to sit and a wee beer garden out the back. Well worth a visit. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pot Belly Bar & Bistro:
The only thing good about this place is the beer. Don't try the burgers. The southern fried chicken one was tasteless, and the beef burger didn't have the blue cheese as ordered, which was just as well, because it was extremely salty. Lucky we had a groupon voucher, or I would have been really upset. View all feedback.
The restaurant appears to be under new management. They offer a great selection of local craft beers and ciders. The food, particularly the chicken schnitzels and burgers, was delicious. The staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing beer and meal on the weekend.
I had a surprisingly delicious lunch at this restaurant. I used a Living Social voucher to go there for lunch. The location is a bit random, but the pub has a nice feel to it. The food was excellent and quite modern for pub fare. I was impressed by the Southern Fried chicken wings and arrancini, which were just as delicious as they looked. The pork belly for lunch was fantastic, but I would recommend skipping the steak burger as it was unexpectedly poor compared to the other dishes. The staff were great, even though we accidentally brought along two toddlers and a baby, thinking we could use the voucher for them as well. They were very helpful and understanding about the mess we left behind.
I was impressed with the ambience of this restaurant, as well as the live music and the fact that they had Pokémon Go lures just outside. Most of the craft beers were good, although the stout went down quickly and the light beer I tried was not enjoyable. I forced myself to finish it out of stubbornness. I can't remember the name of the beer, sorry. My friend had a Lord Nelson, which was decent. The staff was friendly, and given that it was a busy Friday night at a pub, I won't fault them for being a bit slow. Calling this place a bistro is misleading, unless there's a hidden room I'm not aware of. Unfortunately, the vegetarian pizza was bland with canned olives, a soggy crust, and tasteless cheese. I suggest having an early dinner elsewhere and then heading to Pot Belly for some craft stout and more live music.
The pot is a great place for a quiet drink with friends or a glass of wine by the fire place. Live music nearly every night of the week.
This cozy restaurant offers a great variety of craft beers. We were drawn in by the live music and warm fire. We relaxed on the comfortable leather couches by the fireplace before heading back to the city. There are also other nearby restaurants that look appealing.
