The reason people go to this restaurant is for the view. The food is lovely but similar can be found in many other restaurants in Adelaide. The view here is definitely the draw. Ours must have been the only table without a view. I wanted to impress my guest who is visiting from the UK. He had a narrow sidelong 1/180 view, I had no view at all. The table was on the far side of the restaurant, away from the buzz and heart of the main area. Having myself been to this venue previously, I gave my guest the seat with the minuscule view while I looked at the darkened window, occasionally scoring a glance of car headlights in the carpark. The menu is set $125 pp) and the food, presentation and waiting staff were lovely. Chateaubriand is an option for an extra $17.50 and I chose that. It wasn't what I expected or had there in the past. I was given one small slice of steak. See photos for actual Chateaubriand and the dish I was served). In any case, it was tasty and I didn't complain because I didn't want to make my guest uncomfortable. To sum up, we enjoyed the food but essentially we went for the view and would have stayed longer and spent more than the $335 bill had we had a better table position. Buyer beware if dining here for the view, check your table position first!!

Th... read more What a brilliant most breathtaking experience, Windy Point is exquisite. From the greeting as soon as you enter the restaurant all the way to saying goodbye. The waitresses are so compassionate and show high quality professional services throughout the evening. The delightful most dedicated restaurant I've ever been to. The food is so fresh and cooked? Displayed to perfection. The night I went was for mine amd my partners birthday and anniversary I decided to give the waitress a ring while my partner went to refreshed up. Yes I proposed and got a big YES! it was stunning an experience I'll forever remember and hold deep in my heart. Thankyou to all the staff that made this evening a rememberble one. We're dearly greatful. May I add how lovely it was walking through the fog and not one bit of wind. It was so Romantic. It's so hard to express the love of experiencing this place for the first time. It was just beautiful and can't fault anything. Xo

The service was excellent. We enjoyed the simple yet elegant table setting with a small, real pumpkin that added to the cozy winter atmosphere. The food from appetizers to dessert was outstanding. It was perfectly complemented by the paired wine. We adored the winter menu and can't wait to try a different menu on our next visit.
