But service, location and somewhat reasonable pricing make up for it, so I'd give it something in between 2 4 stars (depending how you weigh these factors yourself). We arrived here, as the (better and more expensive looking) restaurant Toc al Mar had no outdoor seats available and were happy with the kids and adult menu for 12 25 EUR. Portion size was very good, but food quality wasn't. I often eat mussels, but this portion simply didn't taste fresh and well, maybe it was just the sauce that was lacking. Some of the salad ingredients came from a can. Paella was OK, but I've had much better ones in Spain, this one had a strong soy sauce flavour... Service was friendly, location is epic, pricing decent given the location why don't you invest a little in the training of your kitchen and fresher ingredients and you could have a winning place???

We were seated immediately, and a waiter attended to us without delay. The menu is extensive, which made our choice difficult. We ordered the paella (superb) and the cuttlefish (even better). The beer was cold, and the food superb. The setting is wonderful, and the food and drink is reasonably priced. Being in the shadow of Toc Al Mar next door might dissuade some people from eating here, but I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Will be heading here next next we’re in Aiguablava

It i... read more Bit fed up with 4/5 and 5/5 reviews for mediocre restaurants. This restaurant scores a solid 3/5 service (contrary to other reviews) was friendly and good. It is busy, so the staff can't always come immediately but you are not ignored. It's mid priced so expect edible food, pretty well presented and the price to match. Don't expect a gourmand experience and you won't be disappointed. It does what you should expect, and with courtesy. We would return happily we discounted the over priced competition on (a) price; (b) no food appetising to most children (c) the rudeness shown towards a potential customer (not us) trying to book a table.

This one is intended for all the people that did not do a reservation in the competition. Staff do not care about you. Typical restaurant where they do not care to have a clientele but serve and throw away. The food is not bad. Nothing out of this world. Prices are intended to “tourist” and not worthy. Toilets are quite clean

We walked in and there was no wait staff to be seen except a waiter at the bar. My husband waited patiently holding our 2 year old so he could ask for a menu and order our food. As we waited I noticed a group of waiters laughing and joking in a corner of the restaurant changing their shirts? The waiter at the bar after chatting to other patrons and ignoring my husband then completely looked past us and served a blonde girl in a bikini who was behind us. After such a long patient wait we stormed out.
