Dining experiences at this restaurant are notably mixed. While some patrons rave about standout dishes like the oyster vegetable stir-fry and honey chicken, others lament poorly cooked meals and unwelcoming service. Complaints frequently highlight the rude staff and disorganized atmosphere, with many suggesting the establishment may be better suited for takeout rather than dining in. Despite a few positive reviews praising the friendly service and flavorful offerings, the overall sentiment reflects disappointment regarding both food quality and customer interaction. Given the inconsistent feedback, potential visitors may want to proceed with caution.

What Anonym dislikes about Khai's:
I was disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. I paid what I consider to be a lot of money, and while I'm willing to spend that for good food, unfortunately, this was not the case. The dishes were poorly cooked, and the flavors were terrible. I only managed to eat about half of my meal before I had to throw the rest away. I cannot recommend this place. View all feedback.
I absolutely loved the honey chicken—it’s the best I’ve had in a long time! For my meal, I ordered takeout for dinner, and it was reasonably priced at A$1–20. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere also a 5!
Overall, there were no significant issues. The staff was friendly and provided quick service, while the food was tasty. I tried the special fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and lemon chicken. I would rate the food a 4, the service a perfect 5, and the atmosphere a 3.
Definitely room for improvement on the interior of this establishment. Also the service. Good was ok and and good value Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Walked in to ask for a table for two. A young girl watch us walk in but had obviously no idea what to do for dine in customers. We waited a while and decided to seat ourselves. As we walked to the table we took with us the menu laying on the table at the entrance which we now realise was the takeaway menu. After seating some time another woman yelled out from the counter asking if we where ready to order. I asked if the menu we had was for takeaway only and if there was a menu for dining in. I was assured that what we had was all there was. Once ready to order the lady stood about 2 tables away to take our order wearing a ask.Not sure if she knows that the mask is to protect us from her not her from us. So yelling our order to her became to norm. The dining room had one side stacked with tables and chairs and what looked to be the items for a rummage sale on a large round table. It would appear that the restaurant is best suited for takeaway and not dining in. Food we had was just o/k at best. The Fawlty Towees of Bega.
