Contribute Feedback What Jen Norton likes about Mille Cafe:
Really enjoyed our meals at this busy, nicely presented local cafe. The menu variety was very good definitely something for everyone. Decent wine list too. Meal presentation was excellent, and the flavours were well balanced. The only complaint was the service, they seemed understaffed for the evening (it was exceptionally busy). Our dessert menu was asked for and delivered, but after 30 min of not seeing our waitres... View all feedback.
What Harold Conroy doesn't like about Mille Cafe:
We came to the café for breakfast. Many empty tables. Stand on the counter is waiting to participate in the count. The staff passed and did not bother to recognize us, though they try to attract their attention. After 10 minutes we went out. View all feedback.
Wanted to try tbsp but people were queuing outside so we we thought we would give mille another crack. 9 am sunday and only 4 people there? Ordered coffees , luke warm, went to have it remade but i was surprised when the barista asked if i would like it hot. The remake was better but still not what is usual.
Quiet Sat morning. A wait staff seemed bored, went to the kitchen (cooking section) and picked up food for cooking and ate, picked another food and ate..... after a while, she went back her position. Yes, it's an open kitchen.A friend with me, she recognised her as she was rude to them last time they were here.I'm a manager, working in this industry, wondered why nobody give the poor lady training...
Mille Cafe is quite an old fashioned Italian looking cafe. Quite average looking inside but that didn't bother me because the rest of the experience was good. The staff were really friendly and attentive and I was happy with the food. I had some garden salad and olives and they were really tasty. The pizza looked quite authentic and delicious. They have a really nice range of desserts aswell. My coffee was also creamy and exactly how I like it so all in all I was happy!
A nice spot for breakfast but nothing spectacular. The menu is pretty run of the mill with average coffee. Disappointed they didn't have almond milk so I had a long black which was alright. I felt like the waiter thought we were an inconvenience being there but perhaps that was just his mannerisms. A tad abrupt but got everything right so at least that was a good thing. The group had the big breakfast - very gooc, nice ingredients and a good size. Also the chorizo Spanish dish which was apparently really delicious. I had eggs Benedict with smoked salmon which was ok. The sauce was nice but cold which was a real shame. Also, one piece of bread for $22 is not value for money. I probably enjoyed my meal the least but the rest of our group liked their meals hence my score. I wouldn't rush back and also thought the facilities were in need of an upgrade - they felt a bit tired and old. I've definitely had worse breakfasts but it certainly wasn't my favourite either. lifelovetravelfood.wordpress.com
2nd time back here and both times have been sensational. Pork belly was incredibly crispy on top and the bottom melted in your mouth, perfectly cooked asparagus and baked polenta cake with heaps of flavour. Friends had the duck ravioli and the veal scolopini which were both tasty and cooked perfectly. Wonderful service, maybe after a few bad reviews they have picked up their game. Great night out.
