Mingo on the west side offers excellent dining experiences with professional service. While some find it expensive and overrated, others appreciate the delicious food, especially the cod entree and olive oil cake. The ambiance is lovely, especially by the back window. Despite some service issues, the menu offers a variety of dishes, such as roasted vegetables, gnocchi, beef penne, and delicious tiramisu. The extensive wine selection complements the meals perfectly. Overall, Mingo is a popular choice for fine dining, with some room for improvement but worth a visit for the overall dining experience and food quality.

4 star service safe! very helpful! the menu is minimal what I would normally like, but if they don’t speak

My friends have recently introduced me to the west in mingo. it is their favorite Italian restaurant this side of the city and one of the coolest. I couldn't agree anymore. mingos has a hip and modern mood for her Italian kitchen. the restaurant is bright and airy in contrast to traditional dark and sober traditional Italian places. Giant glass bay doors look to let the promenade in much natural light. during good weather the same doors lift up, which melt the outside area with the inside seats. they also had beautiful sitting opportunities in free to enjoy the way. I enjoyed the escaping. there is something about a delicious meal, while the warmth of the sun and the cool summer breeze enjoy. parking is super easy and something I appreciate. that's right next to the promenade and is free. They're looking for the Max station and they're gonna find it. Just note that the entrance to mingos on the promenade facing the max station and small park. if they go before the facility, they must run around (I made this mistake.) also, at the beginning september they must show proof of iccination when they dine in. masks, social distancing and covid cleaning protocols are strictly followed here. if they want dine in I would recommend making reservations. the place was packed and going into would be impossible near. fortunately, I booked for our group before the time. pro tip: use the opentable app to get 100 pts to eat here. service at mingo is fantastic. our server ensured that our glasses were full at any time and our needs were met. like one of our groups could not eat milk and unfortunately the dish that she had ordered mistakenly milk. the server has fixed the problem immediately and replaced the dish with a delicious non-milk cow alternative. the portions were generous and filling. I ordered the special black snake and it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the caprese salad and any of the specials. on the suggestion of my server I also ordered 3 draws of gelato for dessert and received a bowl that was about 1 pint worth lol. get the gelato, but ready to share if they can't eat so much. overall the experience here was wonderful. if they are looking for a modern application on the classic Italian make sure to check this place.

Our popular fine restaurant on the west side. Eating is always excellent. service was very professional. many employees for the busy weekend that was estimated. her wine card was quite expensive, but they offered excellent wein.

I read the reviews and decided to try this place but it’s definitely very overrated and overpriced! I can’t believe I paid $15 for a salad that the lettuce was not even chopped and was stale and almost slimy with literally 7 pieces of croutons!!!Pasta was ok but liked the pizza. Service was good however I will not go back.

We had appetizers and drinks, then got dessert to go. The calamari was the best either of us have had in the NW. Every other place just doesn’t get it right. They got the perfect recipe for the batter, I swear. The gnocchi was incredible as well. Igot a non alcoholic drink that was absolutely fantastic. We haven’t touched our desserts yet (the olive oil cake and tiramisu)but I’ll be sure to update here when I do. Service was perfect. Things got busy, but our server checked in on us many times.Overall just a great experience. Can’t wait to come back!
