Embargo - Bayswater

The atmosphere at Embargo is the first thing that hits you! Such a great layout and idea. You can choose to order your drinks from the many bars scattered around or from the Container Bar.Then we headed up the stairs to sit on top of the Container Bar and enjoy the views of the everything going on plus out to Elizabeth Quay and the river over to South Perth!There were about 8 different food trucks offering a great variety to get something to eat from.The prices for both food and drink were very reasonable,It was very popular for people of all ages when we went and we will differently be going again!

Sunday of a long weekend. Niece is in town from London. Message drops in. "Drinks. Embargo. 12.30pm". Well it would be rude not to.As luck would have it, this pop up bar in the Elizabeth Quay area of Perth was hosting my favourite local brewery Little Creatures, showcasing their excellent range of adult beverages.The convenient location of Elizabeth Quay to train, bus and ferry transport means you have no excuse not to try it out. Quiet when we arrived at lunchtime, by 3pm the beautiful people began to arrive, along with samba dancers, stilt walkers, a fan dancer and a lady with a snake, real and alive, as a hair adornment.A great location for a drink on a summer's day (technically autumn but thabks to a changing climate autumn is the new summer) with a variety of food truck options for satisfying the snacking urge.It is a temporary set up, so the misting cooler system did struggle with the 38C day, toilets are of the portable variety and shade is a fiercely contested resource. But hey, cold beers by the river on a sunny day? This hits the spot.

Visited after the Pork & Cider festival. Felt like there was at least 1000 people there, but there was still plenty room to move and multiple bars meant that you didn't wait too long to be served.They have re-purposed old chipping containers into bars and rooftop seating areas which is really unique. They have also strung lots of lighting overhead, which combined with the city skyline makes Embargo a truly beautiful place to drink on a warm summer's night!

Good place to meet friends for a drink,nice atmosphere and music as long as it is not raining,being outdoors has its advantages with nice scenery of city sky line and Swan river.Would definetly return for a drink,if your visiting the city it's a must to have a pint in here.

Great atmosphere, great live music. However, some of the tables (in character) are a bit rocky. Bar service is slow but good range of drinks. Private parties are given excessive amount of space, reducing the amount of tables available for walk in patrons.However, I would recommend for a good watering hole on a warm summers night. No food sold by Embargos but food stalls very close by.
