My family had lunch here and it was great. Food, service and atmosphere was nice. I had a turkey special but they are really know for their hotdogs, kinishes and pastrami sandwiches. They have many different things to eat but that is the popular menu items. View all feedback.
What cori b doesn't like about Ben's Kosher Delicatessen:

I’ve always loved the food at Ben’s and still do. If you’re going in for a meal, you’ll enjoy it it’s delicious. If you’re catering for Passover or another holiday, read on. I catered a 20 person Passover meal that was supposed to arrive between 8am 2pm on the first day of Passover. I had to stay home from work, of course, to be able to receive the delivery. After hours of “we’re almost there,” the order was delivered at 6:15pm, just as my guests were arriving. All the food was cold, and the soup was frozen ice. There wasn’t time to heat everything, of course, so we served the food cold. After asking Ben’s how they would compensate us, I was offered a $100 gift card remember, this was an order for 20 people. 3 months and dozens of emails and phone calls later, I have mysteriously never received even the small gift card promised. And no follow up from Ben’s, either, to make sure it was received. So, sharing to spare others from similar frustration when considering who to use for catering in the future.
I was extremely disappointed with my takeout experience on Friday, 5/26. I ordered matzo ball soup, which is usually my favorite, but this time it was far too salty for my taste.
A great deli experience in the Bayside area. Ben's has been around for a while and is one of the best spots for some pastrami and corned beef. The staff are friendly and there's not much of a wait for lunch on a weekday. Corned beef and liver is my go-to sandwich here. The matzo ball soup and pickles are absolutely delicious. The matzo ball soup is great during the winter as it comes out piping hot! For others, the coleslaw and hot dogs here are great too.
You had me at: All you can eat pickles and coleslaw!!! Food was really good, service was excellent. Expensive but tasty!
If you're looking for a delicious pastrami or corned beef sandwich in midtown, this is the spot to go. With only a few authentic Kosher delis remaining in New York City, this is a gem. The sandwiches are generously sized, perfect for sharing between two people. Be sure to try a knish, preferably the round ones, and don't miss out on the new dill pickles - they're fantastic.
