That's a great bar. The service is good, the decor is quirky, and the music is perfect. It attracts a fun, friendly amount, and they have a good selection of beer on tap. While I was there, they were generous enough to compose some pumpkins because they said they were very excited for the winter shelves they had ordered! Thoughtful and funny. Look at it. What User doesn't like about Shorty's:
3.5 and will update and increase rating if future visits are better. The pro's are that it is a fun, relatively welcoming, and friendly bar on a Friday night of Karaoke. The male bartender was certainly attentive and welcoming. We got some awkward glares but we will assume it was just because we were not part of the neighborhood bar regulars. The majority of the patrons were welcoming. Con's is their censorship on certain artists and genre's in their jukebox. That was very off putting. There are some songs I rather not hear but in their attempt to censor things like vulgarity, by default, it blocked other well known artists that are not remotely as crass as others. Take note there are other reviews addressing this factor and the uncomfortable vibe this projects.
I would have liked the bar more sincerely if the sticky and tasteless bras and panties that hung everywhere were removed.

If you're looking for a bar that has chill vibes and great service, Shorty's is the spot in Bayonne to come to. It's a fun place to shoot some pool and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Also, to the one reviewer giving a bad review for $4 bottled beer, you must be stuck in 1985 LOL
Trash. I felt discriminated. Lol seriously the second I sat down. Asking me if I want to drink. Like let me get settled first. Let me approach the bar at my own pace. This is why I came to this establishment. To drink. But then in the end also messed up my order trying to over charge me 6$ because my name on my tab wasn't an easy way to pull up my order. Instead mistaken it for someone else who ordered two beers and a mix drink. Never coming here again. TRASH.
Perfect f'in place to wrap up our little trip to Bayonne. Bar tender was awesome and made us feel right at home. Thanks a bunch
