What evanh665 dislikes about Ovile Bertarelli:
Messaged them a month in advance to get a dinner reservation. They told us to come on a certain a date. We drove over an hour to arrive in the night that they requested we come (which was a Monday). After not hearing from them that day we sent multiple messages and eventually they told us they were closed. View all feedback.

Ultimate Agritourismo experience in Baunei already my favorite place for excellent local food and I visit on a yearly basis. Culurgiones is the best I have ever tasted. It’s so delicate that you can eat unlimited. Porcetto and Capra are must as main dish!

The restaurant sent a minibus down to Baunei for guests which drove us up into the mountains to a beautiful secluded farm with the most incredibly crafted restaurant. Inside and outside was completely charming, with a huge fireplace cooking meat on a home engineered spit. Everyone eats the same, you don’t know what’s coming, but trust me it was just course after course of the most delicious, heavenly, food. Absolutely magical. Probably one of the best experiences and meals we’ve ever had. Not to be missed.

We went a year ago but can't believe I only reviewed on Google as it still lives long in the memory. The setting, the FOOD- oh, the food!!! Top three so far along with a Michelin starred place in UK and a woman's co-operative in Marrakech, since featured on BBC so that tells you something. A real highlight of our stay in Sardinia, this place is not to be missed! SO glad I found it. My advice would be to ring and book ahead. I found this a bit difficult but turned up anyway. It's a hair raising drive but all part of the adventure and experience and doable with most cars (we had a Renault Clio and drove back in the dark with no issues aside from a flock of tired sheep! Despite us not having booked, they were very warm and welcoming (the best on the island and the wonderful waitress showed us round the old fold in English before dinner. It really is a magical hobbit like place in the middle of delicious nowhere. We were called in to eat at around 8.30pm and had course after course of delicious traditional food. Meats, cheeses, special breads, the BEST ricotta I have ever tasted with honey- followed by curligiones, delicious slow cooked pork over the fire with vegetables and a traditional desert. Red wine, water, coffee and an after dinner liquor were all included in the 30 euro per person price. Enough food to sink a ship! The owner Silvio also introduced himself despite not speaking English. A wonderful family run venture and an eating experience and adventure I will never forget for all the right reasons!! Go!!!
