What Jenny Huynh dislikes about Dempsey's:
Food was super bland and disappointing. We ordered the shrimp platter with a side of seafood gumbo, and catfish poboy to go. The shrimp was fine but fries were soggy and had no seasoning. Hush puppies were dry and had no flavor. Gumbo was basically water with shrimp in it. Catfish poboy was not good in general. For $38, we should’ve went somewhere else. View all feedback.

My friend and I were there on a Wednesday. The special was Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit. Simply delicious. Going back this Wednesday with my hubs. Literally 10/10!!!! I was visiting Baton Rouge for the week and just happened upon this place. The customer service was amazing, I ordered PoBoys to go and was offered a drink while I waited. The hostess was very engaging, talking to me while I waited. When I come back, I will definitely return to dine in and enjoy the full experience. Will definitely return.
Good food, good people! Recommend for a hungry diner!
