My friend and I were there on a Wednesday. The special was Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit. Simply delicious. Going back this Wednesday with my hubs. It was THAT good . I forgot to mention that the onion rings are to die for. Literally 10/10!!!! I was visiting Baton Rouge for the week and just happened upon this place. The customer service was amazing, I ordered PoBoys to go and was offered a drink while I waited. The hostess was very engaging, talking to me while I waited. When I come back, I will definitely return to dine in and enjoy the full experience. My first time here and this place was wonderful! Very quaint and charming. Our waitress was delightful! She was friendly and chatted with us a bit. Very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious. We started with a bowl of seafood gumbo and loved it! I had the grilled chicken with mornay sauce and really enjoyed it. The stuffed potato was really tasty. My boyfriend ordered the fried fish and red beans. The fish was fried perfectly and I'd definitely recommend trying it! This is a great little place for a relaxed, family style southern meal. Will definitely return.
