Description

The restaurant and hotel are described as expensive with awful service, dirty rooms, and unfriendly staff. Despite the negative reviews, there are shining moments with Joe, the manager, going above and beyond to help guests. Guests also appreciated the tasteful and comfortable rooms, as well as the central location of the establishment. Some complaints were related to noisy rooms, lack of proper lighting, and feather bedding issues. Overall, the Loch Fyne restaurant and hotel in Bath seem to have mixed reviews but offer a convenient and comfortable stay for those visiting the area.

We were from our hotel in Bath (it was dirty, but we fell in Loch Fyne restaurant to ask if they had rooms available. Unfortunately, they were fully booked, but Joe, the manager, phoned around and got us accommodation (on Saturday night at 8 pm! He was so helpful and the staff so friendly, it must be the corporate policy to employ the right people. We went back on Sunday for a meal and to thank Joe again... ..the food was also great.

Our room was of a very high standard, clean, tastefully furnished and relaxing. Free Nespresso machine was a bonus! Breakfast and dinner at Loch Fyne Restaurant on the ground floor was excellent. Great location also for exploring Bath.

Had a nice weekend here the room was very tasteful and comfortable; it was so quiet and just a few minutes walk from all the main attractions of Bath. Free breakfast has also not hurt: Would come back and stay without any doubt

I wonder why bath continues to like the gentlemen club look for bars and restaurants . The menu consists of the same dishes that most restaurants produce . Not very imaginative. It was quiet and relaxed the service was good

No one to welcome at entrance, took ages to order both a drink and then food. Fish and chips fish was so bland and batter was soggy and didn’t taste nice, however the burgers were good and chips were good. Staff waiting were slow and a bit disinterested, one decided to move tables next to us and lay them, smashing glasses all over the table and seat, narrowly missing me. This could’ve waited until we had left as it was not busy at all. Puddings very disappointing children’s chocolate mousse was a dollop of unset chocolate mush and ice creams were bland and pricey at £2.50 a scoop. Sticky toffee pudding I’m told was good. Sadly, not a great experience, £60 later we regretted choosing to try The Milsom, which we only did because it was fairly new and they advertised 1/3 off food this offer ended the previous day and was only Mon Fri. No set menu which is only offered Mon Thurs. Disappointing all round, maybe explains lack of customers on a Saturday night.
