The restaurant received mixed reviews, with some diners having a disappointing experience, citing slow service, lackluster food, and dirty facilities. However, others praised the attentive staff, delicious food, and good atmosphere, especially during lunchtime. Overall, opinions on the food quality and service varied, making it a hit or miss dining option. Inconsistencies were noted in the menu and the overall dining experience, but still, some guests found it worth a return visit. With a range of feedback, it seems this restaurant has potential but needs to address particular issues to maintain a positive reputation.
I was here recently with my daughter who had never been brave. we both enjoyed everything we ordered. we had three tapas dishes to share for our main course the tortilla, the black bell and the deep fried fish selection that were served separately, but this was no problem, as it allowed us to really taste the different aromes. the portions were not huge, that is true, but we did not want to have a big heavy meal anyway, so we were perfectly satisfied with the portions sizes, especially since this has a little space for both of us to have dessert; my daughter wanted to taste the churros and I had the baskenkäsekuchen with a berry-comonote on the side. that were also delicious and after the cheesecake I was quite sure full! we had only one crippled with our food, so it was not expensive for what was very good eating, according to my opinion. And we also had a nice waiter, raoul, who also deserves a special mention for his pleasant wise and attentiveness. I also liked the decor inside and the casual mood. this was our first meal since the kovid pandemie started and our first meal in england since we moved here in juli 2020, so it was a special evening for us in many respects. thanks!
Delicious tapas- in particular, I recommend the calamari and patatas bravas. The traditional sangria was also gorgeous!
Disappointing meal for a restaurant that looks great inside and has a good atmosphere. The food was far too garlicky, it repeated on us for days. They had run out of goats cheese mouse for the salads and aubergine. The Albondigas were very overcooked. Such a shame.
Filthy stained fabric on the seats, key things like olives/meatballs chorizo not available at 6pm, overpriced bland food, 12.5% service charge automatically included in the bill. The only good thing was the excellent service from the waitress who was on her own due to staff sickness.
