A Truly Fabulous Italian Dining Experience! We visited Ponte Vecchio on a buzzing Friday night during one of the hottest days of the year, and what an incredible evening it was! Despite the heat and how busy the restaurant was, the entire team were nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of that unmistakable Italian charm. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It felt like we were dining in the heart of Italy rather than Bath! A special thank you to Alex, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food? Authentically Italian and absolutely delicious. Even with the kitchen running at around 40°C (The chefs must’ve been on fire! the dishes that came out were full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. It’s clear the chefs take real pride in their work, and we weren’t the only ones who thought so. We overheard other tables singing the restaurant’s praises too. We had a truly memorable evening and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a genuine Italian dining experience with incredible food, a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere, and outstanding service, Ponte Vecchio is the place to go. Grazie mille to the whole team! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The staff here is amazing,so eager to please. We especially enjoyed talking to the manager, who made us two delicious martinis. We also enjoyed our river view table and a yummy dinner with the BEST ice cream..you must have it!
Service was very good at the restaurant. The waiting staff there were all very attentive and welcoming. What let the restaurant down was the food. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it's just nothing exciting one could easily go to any chain restaurant and have the same quality of food. The real disappointment (in respect of the food) was the Calamari and Monkfish, simply fried with no due care to the poor calamari and the poor monkfish. Overall, I am not dissatisfied but definitely not wowed.
