What a terrible experience, was like being back in the 80’s. Bad food and bad decor , woefully bad service. The oysters were bad and I suspect were a day old and definitely not fresh( how do you get bad oysters in Batemans Bay!)The steak was so mediocre and not worth the money, could cook a better steak at home. Seriously feel ripped off at the low standard of this place, you need to do better in this day and age. I felt like I was in an episode of Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares.
Oh my goodness, the surf and turf at this restaurant is the best I have ever had. The new owner and chef have done an amazing job. The food was so good that I jokingly asked my wife if we could marry him. The sticky date pudding was the perfect way to end the meal.
I would give no stars if I could, worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. I went with a party of 4. 2 medium rare steaks came out blue, a medium came out blue and a medium well came out rare with so much dirty grill charcoal it was inedible. The pepper sauce tasted like gasoline and felt like it was leaving chemical burns. The garlic sauce was spicy and completely not what you would expect. The veggies were a joke, overcooked zucchini and carrot. The kilpatrick oysters weren’t kilpatrick at all, the only thing they had in common was Worceshire and the owner told us if we had taste buds you would know what it should taste like. Also the coke is 5.50 and you don’t even get the whole can. It was meant to cost 200 dollars just for the food but I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog, disgusting.
