The customer service is terrible. Recently, our meals have arrived late or were not what we ordered. We were charged multiple times, even though our meals never reached our home, and getting a refund has been nearly impossible. It's really disappointing to see a business decline so quickly. I wish them good luck in addressing these issues!
I had a terrible experience with this meal delivery service. I followed the proper procedure to cancel my order before the Wednesday deadline, but their system failed to process the cancellation. When I called seven hours later upon realizing their mistake, they refused to cancel the delivery, even though there was still a full week before the scheduled date. As a result, I’m $85 out of pocket, and the food will sit and spoil at my door for three weeks until I can dispose of it. I'm canceling my account immediately!
Engaging in questionable business practices by unjustly charging customers is quite concerning. Their policies are unclear, and when you attempt to address an overcharge, the response you receive essentially amounts to, “this is your fault for not reading the fine print.” I have never encountered such a dubious establishment in my life, and it’s become clear why the reviews are so poor. When you reference their low ratings, the customer service response is, “you should have checked that beforehand.” I was charged $99 for food I had canceled, and there’s no way to recover that amount. This is simply unacceptable.
Unfortunately, the latest box was just average, so I decided to cancel my next order. However, it seems I missed the cancellation cutoff by 9 hours, and despite having supposedly received a notification about it four days prior, I didn't receive any email (I checked my inbox, deleted items, and spam folder—nothing). They refused to cancel the order. Factor claims, "As a growing brand, we are constantly trying to improve," but this isn't the way to do it. It's disappointing to be treated this way, only to be met with gaslighting and refusal to assist with an order that won't ship for several more days. Given these frustrating experiences, I will NEVER order from Factor again. Two thumbs down.
I have to say, my experience has been fantastic so far. I tried the butter chicken and the vegan mushroom masala, and both dishes were delicious. I was looking for low-calorie, tasty food that could be cooked in either the microwave or the oven, and I found exactly that. The only downside I've noticed is that the plastic containers become flimsy after being microwaved. However, at under $10 per meal, this is a great bargain and a real time saver!
