Feedback
We went to this place on 5th June 2015 while visiting Basel. Since it was the closest Chinese restaurant near Hotel ibis Basel Bahnhof (where we were staying), we liked its location. The restaurant had hardly any guest (except the lone female guest who was sitting and sipping wine in the corner), so we were a little apprehensive about our eat out. What we liked the most about this restaurant is the personal attention given by the Chinese owner Mr Wang and also his half Swiss son. They really tried to make us feel comfortable and explained us many things. In fact the most useful advice (which we followed) 'to visit mount Titlis ', was given by owner 's son. We are still very thankful for their suggestions and friendly conversation. Food was quite nice, fresh and delicious. We ordered two servings of Chinese dumplings, some vegetable fried rice, clear chicken soup, and two bottles of Swiss beer. The only drawback was the small portion size and the price we payed in the end. We had to shell out 100 euros for this dinner, which was kind of a shocker to us. But the owner sympathized there also with us, and said that 'everything is very expensive in Switzerland and he also has to pay a lot to his chef for his salary '.We would love to go there again but the steep price would definitely prohibit us.
I eat lunch here several times a month. They have a good lunch menu of soup, salad and main for 20chf. I think the quality of food and service are great, real linens on the table and proper attention to the guests. You can be in and out in an about an hour at lunch time.I tried to eat there for dinner since I had such a good lunch experience but I found the prices to double but nothing else doubling. Overall I would stick to lunch time dining.
