I 've been to Vollbarth several times, and the food and service have always been good. So I went there with my companion to show them how great it is. But unfortunately, we had bad luck with the service. It started with the fact that we had to wait a long time before anyone even came to ask us what we 'd like to order. My drink was barely carbonated, and the burger I ordered was unfortunately very dry. At least my companion 's was tasty/good (as far as I 'm used to). When we finished our meals, the waiter came relatively quickly to clear our plates; my glass was already empty. Unfortunately, while they were clearing them, they didn 't ask if we wanted anything else. Okay, okay, no drama, but even after 15 minutes, no one came. No one asked if we wanted a new drink or maybe another look at the menu. Instead, the staff preferred to hang around at the counter rather than even ask (we were sitting directly in view, even as we walked past, they didn 't even glance at our table). It wasn 't even full, and there weren 't crowds coming into the restaurant at once to explain it. So it wasn 't stressful, but there was still no incentive for the three employees to be attentive. Perhaps they weren 't in the mood? We went to the counter to pay (who knows how long we would have had to wait otherwise). When paying, I mentioned that we would have liked dessert. The staff 's response: Then you should have yelled at me!
