However, when my food arrived, I ordered the chicken parmesan. The noodles and sauce were cooked to perfection, but sadly, the chicken was extremely tough. I had to struggle with my knife just to cut it, and it felt like I was fighting a losing battle the entire time. Considering this was my entrée and my first visit, I can chalk it up to a one-off experience. I would absolutely be willing to give this place another shot with a different dish. Everything was wonderful right up until my meal came. I really want to like this restaurant!
With that said, this restaurant represents Italian-American cuisine in one of its many forms. It’s important to remember that the United States is a vast and diverse place—Louisiana is not Nevada, and California is not West Virginia. For an ITALIAN-AMERICAN restaurant, and for anyone hoping to escape traditional Italian monotony, I would say this spot is EXCELLENT. The pizza features a fantastic crust and well-balanced toppings (it’s not Neapolitan or from Sorbillo, it’s distinctly AMERICAN), along with a very good Caesar salad and tasty appetizers. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is delightful. It's a perfect stop if you’re traveling between Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
The ambiance is delightful, the food is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly.
Our server, Lauren, was so nice, considerate and attentive! She made us feel welcome and comfortable! The food was excellent, I had the spinach ravioli, but we’re a sharing family so we all tasted a bit of everything. There’s 7 of us so it can be tough to please everyone but Firehouse did it tonight! We had a great time admiring the decorations and bopping our heads/lip syncing with the oldies jamz! We were just passing through town, but we are already so excited to make this stop again on further road trips! Great work everyone, and thank you!
