What User doesn't like about TLC Bistro & Cafe:
Food was mediocre, service one guy cooking and serving. Not sure what people are raving about. Place was clean and bright. Didn't get sick would never go there again though. View all feedback.
I'm a local and didn't know the TLC existed until I accidentally stumbled upon it one day after a beautiful walk along the lake shore with a friend. We walked inside and immediately felt the warm atmosphere. It's definitely not your typical chain coffee shop, there is so much heart and character here. The owner Larry is pretty much a one-man show, so be a little patient waiting for a coffee or to place your order if he's singing some Neil Young songs - it's worth the wait so you can enjoy his music. Don't look for a 5 star gourmet meal here, look for a friendly atmosphere, great home cooked food and great prices. There is an open mic night on Thursdays which is fun to watch or participate in, and special tribute concerts throughout the month for Neil Young, Neil Diamond and others. Larry usually lets you try the instruments if you ask as well which is fun. There is also a little patio out back which is really nice on a warm day. This place is a gem and I have been a frequent visitor for the last 5 years. One of my favourite places!
