The Keg Steakhouse - Barrie

My family and I used to frequent The Keg often, but since I became vegan, I no longer visit. However, my family recently told me that The Keg now offers vegan options on the menu, which is something they did not have before. Excited, I looked at the new menu and found a few plant-based options for entrees. I decided to give it a try. When ordering, I asked our server if the Mediterranean Cauliflower dish is truly vegan.

The service at this restaurant was excellent. We visited on the Sunday before Valentine's Day, so it was quite busy. The Calamari appetizer was delicious and prepared well. Our main dishes, accompanied by a side of mushrooms and scallops, were outstanding. Everything, including the lobster, was cooked perfectly. The desserts - cheesecake and a brownie - were also exceptionally tasty. The atmosphere was nice. While it is a good restaurant, I would give it 4 stars because there are other great and more affordable dining options in Barrie.

We have been celebrating at The Keg since our first anniversary. The meals are always great and the service is fantastic. We look forward to celebrating our 8th anniversary there this weekend.

The restaurant provided excellent service and served delicious teriyaki steak, although it was on the pricier side. It was quite crowded around 5:00 pm, so the service was a bit slow, but still friendly. The atmosphere where I was seated was pleasant, but the busy crowd was noticeable, especially when seated in the center. Overall, despite the cost, I still think The Keg is worth a visit.
