This place is a tiny old-fashioned diner with staff that treat you like you've been coming for years. Portions are generous and we were pleased that we could order a la carte for the kids instead of figuring out a whole meal for them. It's cash only with an ATM right near the register. Pretty good food, generous portions. I really enjoyed the peameal bacon and eggs, with the side of potato/onion fry up. Pop is canned. I'm a chef so I'm always somewhat critical of the food when I go out to eat. I make an effort to find hidden gems and small family owned places because often you find the best food and service. The midway diner is no exception. The server (big dude with beard) was on point excellent service and really friendly. The food was easily the best breakfast I think I've ever had, had the midway breakfast I think it's called : 2 eggs sausage toast and hash and my girlfriend had veg omelette. I also got aside if beans which was more like a boat of bean . Incredible value for your money huge portions and the food was amazing. Wish you guys had a location closer to me, love to support local gems like you. Keep up the good work. I will be returning every time I come to Barrie!
It looked like a run down restaurant from the outside, get in, great menu, service, order, great food, had eggs Benny, it was excellent! On paying they only take cash, so re ember to bring cash to pay!
Great food, great prices, great atmosphere! Until our schedules prevented it, it was our Sunday morning tradition. Hoping to start that again soon. It takes a LOT to impress us and this place is one of the few that accomplished said feat.

Been a few times and food was great always a great portion and service was great only drawback that I saw last time I was there was a little bit of a dated building and no debit when I has to pay only atm and great thing is it's right beside bus stop
