This is a group from our condo who eat dinner out once a month. Chose this as I was at a banquet downstairs end of April and the food and service were top notch! The group loved it as no music playing, nice set-up and great to be able to talk to each other. Barrielicious menu was super: choice of 3 appetizers / 3 main entrees / 2 desserts. What User doesn't like about Scarpaccio Ristorante Grill & Wine Bar:
We ate dinner there when we stayed for the night. I had the sesame chicken with rice pilaf and mixed veg. The chicken was way too salty, the rice was lumpy. The veg was good. Draft beer was 7.50 a glass. A little steep in my opinion. It just wasn't a great meal. And breakfast the following morning was the "continental" included. It was awful. Went with friends for dinner and quite enjoyed everything it was good food great conversation talked with the owner s shared a few restaurant stories as I was in the industry will be sure to go back again<br/ <br/ been here many of times Good food Friendly staff , sometimes quite but after reading some of the responces and talking with the owners gee some of the things they have to put up with. Firstly while asking about some of the reviews , I figured there had to be 2 sides to every story . <br/ <br/ the Owners said because they are a restaurant in a Hotel that they see and get evey type of customers , Buisiness girls that have many phones for business prurposes of course , wanting or needing to charge their phone , well this could be done in their room instead. also people that write complaints after the fact but never gave the restaurant a chance to correct a problem with their food , but instead vent on review sites . There are certain standards and policies that every business has and I suppose some guests just dont like the word I sorry but that is not possible . One Story the owners told me was of some guest that were haveing a gathering in their room for 20ppl . and orderd food form a competitor pizza place and already had thier beverages of choice , but procedded to the restaurant to ask for cutlery and plates and wine and bar ware and ice as well as lemons and limes ...... and the guest just assumed that the owners should give it to them for free as they were guests of the hotel .... When I heard this story I thought really !!!! but they say they get it all the time and when they say no I m sorry well this is how we read about some comments on these review sites ..... Very sad. Every time I have been there for business or pleasure I have enjoyed and will continue to do so
Been there Done that and Enjoyed at Scarpaccio Ristorante .. I have read the previous disgruntled Reviewer and can not imagine what the owner of this restaurant is thinking . I have been to this place on many of occasions when passing through Barrie , It is a quaint out of th main place inside th Monte Carlo inn in Barrie . I too have been a owner of various businesses as well as a bar , It is not easy to tell people they have had enough ! and the people being cut off does not want to hear it.....and it is sad that it is only the 95% of the people that frequent an establishement will wirte their positive review and only disgruntled cusatomers that have a obsession to harm a business and slander any of the employees personally . I have met both of these owners and I can tell you they work hard in such a tough industry where the profit margins are low , and some of the silly stuff they have to deal with especially now with social media, and review sites . Every time I go I mostly get the special three course at dinner and love it , breakfast is mostly complimentary continental when staying in the hotel adjoined , however hot Eggs and a breakfast menu is available . for extra of course and they are not frozen egg products like most hotels use , nowadays . Well Enough said I hope people who read this can read between the disgruntled writers review as I have and see that it is slanderous , to say the least . I have read simular reviews on other sites which is obviously the same lady.
Too small for breakfast time.....have to wait awhile for a table. Pretty empty at dinne time. Food ok but nothing to write home about at dinner.

This hotel is clean and the customer service was real good!!! But stay away from the restaurant Scarpaccio they are liars!!! I was there June 20, 2017 my husband and I decided to just grab a bite to eat as we had a long day!! So the waitress comes over friendly enough and asked if we need to see menus and what we wanted to drink!! I asked her to see wine list she abruptly says tell what kind and I will tell you what we have by the glass I asked for Pinot Grigio and she bolts not giving me the chance to say I want a bottle so never knew what brand I got but it was good!!! She comes back for the food order and goes on and on about the food is all made in house by two great chefs so I was excited as I ordered Breast chicken stuffed with Brocoli and cheddar cheeze served on pilaf rice and asperagus and my husband orders breast chicken wrapped in prosciutto and cheeze!!! Well I get my plate and my face dropped the piece of chicken came from a store bought 2 for 1.99 on special the chef put a white sauce over it and the rice pilaf was not the best the waitress asked is everything ok said yes but after I finished she brings the bill I paid $25 for that silly meal that was suppose to be homemade!!! I asked to talk to the chef or cook but nobody came out so I called their bluff if your gonna serve boxed meals at least lower your price and don't brag it's all made in house!!! We checked the continental breakfast that was already set up for the next day looked very poor too so we went to this place called Andy's Place down the street breakfast was awesome and reasonably priced!!!!
