Ricardo's Taj Mahal - Barrie

This is my second time ordering from Taj, and I couldn't be more pleased! We always go for the butter chicken with rice and a side of naan, and it's simply amazing! This time, we were treated to a complimentary dessert, which was absolutely delightful! I can see this becoming a weekly tradition! Plus, the portion sizes are really generous! Great job, everyone!

I'm not sure how this restaurant received such positive reviews online, but I ordered chicken biryani and samosa chaat, and both were very disappointing. It felt like I was just eating boiled rice, and the samosas tasted stale, as if they were a week old. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money here.

The biryani, which was the cheapest item at $7, came in a full rectangular Styrofoam container, but I still had to be careful of bones in that as well. I would be embarrassed to serve such meals and call it a restaurant. I would never order from here again. I regret spending $35 for two containers of sauce with bones and two containers of rice. It was terrible value, and while the flavor was decent, nobody wants to eat bones!

Ordered take-out. Lady on phone was pleasant. Specifically Asked if Tandoori BBQ was Breast meat which she said it was. Unfortunately it was all dark meat. Disappointing…if you enjoy dark meat, you will love it. It was flavourful. Salad was fresh rice was flavourful. Naans were fresh too. The dishes we ordered looked NOTHING like the pictures online.

My wife and I have a hot chat. eating was amazing! I love the butter chicken especially. the personal was super friendly and we have two hot tellers and drinks for about $25. we will definitely repeat customers.
