Description

Fresh-a-Fare in Barrie offers a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and soups. Despite some customer complaints about prices and pickles being included despite requests, the general consensus is that the food is fresh, delicious, and worth the wait. From homemade bread and cut meats to decadent carrot cake, there is something for everyone. The unique touch of adding noodles to soup last minute to prevent sogginess adds to the appeal. Overall, Fresh-a-Fare is a bustling lunch spot with a cozy cafe atmosphere that locals and visitors alike can enjoy.

This is a great lunch destination. Come on Wednesdays or Thursdays quickly to a great scavenger!! The staff is always friendly, and they are well prepared for food or taking.

Exceptional service, great sandwiches, lots of choices. Daily specials are a great value. Love the smoked salmon sandwich and schnitzel.

Want a delicious sandwich, hearty soup or delicious salad Fresh-a-Fare is the ideal spot for lunch! Order cafeteria style and grab a table because it is always busy and a bit noisy. My favourites are the smoked salmon or Rueben sandwiches but there are many...options to suit every taste. Servings are big so you may have to save some for a later snack. You can even buy a bag of prepared salad greens or soup for a meal at home. Enjoy!

Always busy during the lunch hour but definitely worth a short wait. Sandwiches and fantastic salad meals options provide many tempting choices. Fresh tasty, plus they have a decadent carrot cake guaranteed to ruin any diet. Haha. but a must try.

Have eaten several times in the fresh a-fare and always have a fabulous meal. On the way north on a busy Thursday Lunch Rush. The possibility to choose one of the breads with your sandwich is really the highlight of this place. This time, I have to fry beef on bread with a spicy Mayo. Amazing combination as the pulp was really subtle and helped to add a new taste and texture to the sandwich. The selection of salads and the ability to adapt everything really takes this place apart! If I can, I'll keep on switching on.
