It is extremely difficult to get a wheelchair through the doors as there is no automatic but... read more I have visited this restaurant a few times with my disabled parent. It is extremely difficult to get a wheelchair through the doors as there is no automatic button to assist and a small ledge/lip at both door frames that make it challenging to keep the wheelchair from tipping forward. We mentioned this issue to the server, who was very kind, and she informed us that the restaurant passed code for accessibility in Barrie. However, I believe this should be re-evaluated and urge the owner/manager to try to maneuver a wheelchair through the doors themselves while pushing a person with disabilities. Until this issue is resolved, we will not be able to return to the restaurant as it is embarrassing for my parent to have to rely on staff or other patrons to assist in getting through the doors. Wheelchair accessibility: Getting a wheelchair through the entrance doors is definitely not easy.

The restaurant had recently reopened after being closed due to Covid and a flood, so we wanted to show our support for a local business. We ordered the halibut dinner, choosing the 5oz option since we were quite hungry. However, the piece of fish we received was very small and mostly consisted of crispy batter with very little actual fish. The fish itself was tough and chewy. We also got two soft drinks and one draft beer, and the total bill came to $100 with tip. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience and would recommend saving your money and eating at home instead.
