I swing by Creative Bean pretty much every week because their Caribbean food is just that good. The j chicken and stew chicken are amazing and the stuffed patty is always a hit. But it's more than just great food. Tracy and Rene aren't just owners, they're the heart and soul of the place and treat everyone like they're old friends. Great food and great vibes! What Cyn E doesn't like about Creative Bean Café Caribbean Hot Table:
Ordered 10 doubles today for an event and the flavor was bland and expensive. Not worth it! I know my trini food so this is coming from someone who has had authentic doubles in trinidad and toronto. Do yourself a favor and check out Leelas doubles or Drupatis. You will see the difference. The chickpea curry at creative bean had little flavor. 5/5 Roti. Had the J and Curry chicken. Delicious. Freshly made Roti. Homemade pepper sauce. The real deal.

Do yourself a favor and check out Leelas doubles or Drupatis. You will see the difference. The chickpea curry at creative bean had little flavor. And, the service by the male owner was condescending and borderline rude at best. The cashier had to apologize to me for the owners demeanor so right there you know it was not nice. We definitely won't be supporting this small business again and shared the feedback with our guests. There is a rushed and purely transactional atmosphere when you visit like they are serving you hotdogs. Warmth, personalized service makes all the difference.
As a Trinidadian family we were excited to check out Creative bean. We like the modern interior, my kids got ice cream, while my husband and I enjoyed the tasty “doubles” and a nice cold coffee drink. The doubles had good flavor and the perfect amount of hot sauce! A must try. No need to drive to Toronto, you can get a taste of the Caribbean right in Barrie.
Great food but already turning into one of those places that’s always closed without reason
