Dumfries Maples is a fantastic place to discover how maple syrup goes from tree to table. My favorite part was definitely tasting the syrup on a stick. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about all things maple. Be sure to try the maple cream soda—you'll love it!
Our experience was disappointing. We waited nearly an hour to receive our breakfast and had to repeatedly ask for a forgotten beverage and extra coffee. There was a long period where no one checked if everything was alright. The staff seemed stressed and pressured. I would not return.
Fantastic neighborhood restaurant! They serve delicious homemade pancakes topped with their own maple syrup. The food is exceptional, and the staff is very friendly.
The experience at this restaurant had its ups and downs. The location is excellent and just a short drive from Fredericton, which offered a scenic journey that we really enjoyed. However, the food was quite average. One drawback is that they only accept cash. On the positive side, the eggs, sausages, and Dumfries maple syrup were delicious. Unfortunately, the pancakes and homemade breakfast bread were disappointing, as was the burnt bacon and maple butter. We found the pancakes and baked bread to taste a bit off, likely due to an excessive use of baking powder and baking soda that made them overly fluffy. We ordered three breakfast specials with sausages and one with bacon strips. The coffee was mediocre, comparable to what you’d find in a diner. We arrived early at 9 am and had no trouble getting a spot on the patio. The host was fantastic, and we have no complaints in that regard. Overall, we truly loved the maple syrup; it was definitely the highlight of our meal.
The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We stopped by for breakfast and it was quite bustling inside. The cozy atmosphere, combined with the delightful aroma of pancakes and maple, was wonderful. The pancakes were not only delicious but also enormous—I could only finish one! We visited in late March when most of the snow had melted. They even have a machine that cools maple, allowing you to enjoy maple candy on a stick, regardless of the snowfall. Additionally, the view of the river across the street is fantastic.
