What 2Steve C (1 1 year ago on Google doesn't like about The Dolphin:
The steak was overcooked. Prices are way overpriced for the food that you get there was a lobster corn meal. Could not taste the lobster. Again scalps or perfectly, but there was no taste of Lobster at all. Service was great. And my drink unfortunately was made wrong. They mixed the Baileys with a different kind of vodka and a coagulated, it was like drinking cottage cheese. View all feedback.
The place was very upscale with a coastal feel. The staff was very friendly and attentive, especially our waitress Linda. I didn’t feel rushed and the food was magnificent. The choices were fair and the quality was beyond my expectations for such a small, local establishment. You wont be dissapointed!
Just ok for everything... geared for 70+ crowd. Portions kind of small considering price and no extras like a salad. Menu very basic...meat, starch, veggie..nothing interesting. Service was slow ..long gaps without seeing waitress. We asked if she went home before we could order ! The decor was classic Old New England which is welcomed .. just wish the food was updated.

We were kind of late on Sunday after our whale watching. We arrived at 8:20 they stop serving at 8:30 but they let us in. I had a delicious Scallops and Risotto meal and my sister had the half chicken that literally fell apart from being so tender. We had homemade bread and a salad too. Very good and fast meal.
Stopped by in person and had clam chowder as a way to fairly judge any seafood restaurant. It was “meh”. Way too heavy on the potato, minimal clams, and very thin. Service and atmosphere are outstanding! But it was close by to where we were staying so I called the next day to place a pickup order. Ordered on the phone and the employee tells me that they add a 15% gratuity to pickup orders. Needless to say; this is exceptionally unusual and off-putting. So I politely said that I’d like to cancel and look elsewhere. And the employee had the audacity to say: “seriously, dude?”. Maturity got the better of me, and I immediately hung up, instead of getting into an argument. But that lame food, extortionate pricing, and rude staff made me come here and leave this negative review. Too bad, this place could be amazing. Just poor management is all.
