Very good food but need to serve or at least offer smaller portions for lunch. The meals were far too big. The staff are wonderful and the place itselfIs a cosy old style building with a great view. Kids are welcomed and are provided with toys and games. A great venue! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Windy Mile:
Very disappointing. When my husband returned a clearly not rare steak the chef sent the waitress back out to say that in his opinion it was rare. Poor form sending the waitess out to do that and he clearly can't cook a rare steak. Wait staff were lovely but our likely $350+ dinner was cut aburptly short. We skipped dessert, coffee and another round of drinks and will not be returning. View all feedback.

Cosy pub enjoyed a beer and a chat. Parking was hard. I will go back in summer for the outside tables.
I took my family to The Windy Mile last week and my wife and I agree it was the worst dining experience we can remember. We were seated and given menus. About 2 mins later the young waitress returned and asked if we were ready to order. Within about the first 5 minutes she came back 3 times to ask if we had made our minds up. DrinksWe ordered drinks then We ordered meals and waited....20 mins in drinks hadn't arrived so we asked the waitress who said she had forgotten . Another 15mins and our entree arrived but still no drinks. I asked the waitress again and she quite rudely said that the bar was very busy (it wasn't). About 40mins in 1st drink finally arrives. MealsAfter waiting for drinks we then waited another 30mins for main meals. We asked the waitress why the wait and she said the kitchen was busy. I the looked around and there were only table of 4 tables in use. We were the only ones who didn't have their meals. It simply wasn't busy.Antipasto entree looked and tasted like it came from Coles or Woolies. Very average. Mains - 2 x rib eye $37.00 each. The steak bone had been cut down the middle, so looks like they get 2 steaks from each "point". Was verySalty and cooked medium well, nor medium rare as we had asked.I asked for a glass of red to go with my steak and the waitress replied "will the house red do" before she sort of stormed off. We weren't ever being rude.Between entree and main my wife complained to the manager who removed our drinks from the bill. Nice gesture I suppose.Overall a terrible experience and I hope they do improve as it could be fantastic if they get their act together. I also think some dishes are over priced for what ends up on your plate.

Great variety of dishes to choose from. Good spot for any occasion. Would recommend for a quick and easy meal on a week night. Lovely balcony with views over the trees if you fancy sitting outside.
