Banner Elk Winery

This is a wine tasting room. There are no rooms or hotel servives. There is also a place nearby called Banner Elk Villas which is nearby but I didn't have anything to do with that place.There are lots of choices for wine tasting. Unfortunately I was driving and the roads are very hilly and curvy so I didn't taste any of the wine.

A beautiful scenery Winery with fantastic outdoor seating, beautiful views and a pleasant selection of wines. Walk ins welcome.On the way in there are several historic looking buildings as well as some vineyards, these set the stage for a well kept winery with beautiful well maintained lawns, a pond and plenty of seating.The wines themselves were tasteful with several red and white options in addition to some sangria. They offer flights (4options) in addition to tastings (8 options) providing you with the option to taste a few before settling in on a full glass or bottle.They don't offer many food or snacks options, most people we saw had brought their own. I would definitely recommend it!Kid Friendly, with some non alcoholic beverages, but not a lot of kid entertainment. We saw many families there in the early afternoon.I would recommend the Banner Elk Winery to anyone in search of a relaxed outdoor winery in a scenic area. (They also have indoor seating but not much)

Really neat place to sit and relax. Wines were very good, service was great, and lots of nice places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. The grounds are kept, and for a Saturday afternoon(with college football playing) there were a lot of people enjoying the beautiful weather and views, and the wine. We have frequent a lot of the wineries between GA- VA, and this is a go to place.

Frequent many wineries throughout NC and GA. This winery needs a lot work to the grounds. The grounds are poorly manicured. We ordered a pitcher of Berry Sangria and it tasted like a watered down lemonade and did not appear to have any wine in it. Do not recommend. This review is intended to help owner improve the winery. Best wine in the area and the venue is great. A lot of wineries around here have nice venues but the wines can be lacking. This one is the full package
