Kfc - Bangor
Kfc
Description
At this chicken and taco eatery, patrons share a mix of experiences that paint a picture of a restaurant needing significant improvements. While some enjoy the Nashville hot chicken and recognize the appealing flavors, others report issues like incorrect orders, dirty tables, and slow service in an uncomfortably cold environment. Food safety concerns have also been raised, with instances of allergens present in orders. Despite the potential of tasty offerings like tacos, inconsistent quality and presentation leave many hopeful for better management and a commitment to cleanliness. Revisiting may depend on how management responds to customer feedback and makes necessary adjustments.

Waited 46 minutes to get 5 chicken tenders. Will never go here again and I suggest nobody else go either. If you want chicken, go to Chick-fil-A just a few minutes away, at least they have never let me down unlike KFC.
I went through the drive-thru with a great order that I warned from the beginning, and the dame that took my order worked very annoying and from my sight was rude from the beginning. when I asked with one of the food orders for limonade (which I always ordered limonade) I was told that they did not sell limonade, but I did not want to argue about it. then I was told that I could not order a certain amount of meal times because I needed to call for it. like what? when I went to the window to pay, I was not greeted with a smile or how are they today, but I was told by the dame that her manager said that the next time I have an order to go this big. . if a mother or someone wants to go through a drive-thru for this issue, no matter how big the order is, they should not be made to feel bad about it or said that they need to go inside, because not always go an option is that they call it a drive-thru and I never knew that their rules how big a job can only be going through one. I had often commanded a big drive-thru and was never told about it. I get it a bigger amounts take longer and are more time-consuming, but this is part of the be in this business and something they need to take up, and that means with their drive-thru as well as especially if someone pays their business $70 to eat there. I will now take my business elsewhere and I hope that kfc manager and workers will learn to be more patient and welcome other mothers with many children with a great order.
I really enjoy this chicken spot. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and at first thought it was dry, but after checking the sauce, I realized it was just hard to see in the black container. Once I tried it, the sauce was definitely there and bright red. One minor issue was that my chicken didn’t come with any pickles, but it wasn’t a big deal. I had expected a square container, but it was actually round—similar to the containers used for some Taco Bell items like Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. The chicken itself had a nicely crispy breading. I also tried a Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell. The flavor was good and the lettuce was fresh and crunchy, but the overall texture could use improvement. The hard shell was surprisingly soft and broke apart easily, which made it messy to eat. The ground beef had a soft consistency, almost like refried beans, though this didn’t affect the taste. Overall, I’d definitely return to try more from both places. Just a heads up: if I order the Doritos Locos Taco again, I hope they improve the texture. It’s a great spot if you’re craving both chicken and tacos since the two restaurants are combined in one location.
I ordered the largest bucket of chicken from KFC and was told it would take 15-20 minutes, which made me think they needed to prepare more pieces. I agreed and was told to pull up. However, less than two minutes later, I received a full bucket of chicken. When I got home, I noticed there were two different types of chicken in the bucket. I had specifically ordered the style without dairy because my daughter is allergic. For their convenience, they included another style that contained dairy, which could have made my daughter very sick if I hadn’t noticed. KFC’s handling of this is dishonest and dangerous in my opinion. Food safety should be fundamental to their menu offerings, but they clearly failed to meet that standard.
On August 16, 2022, my daughter, two grandchildren, and I visited this restaurant. We placed our orders but had difficulty finding a clean table to sit at, as most were dirty with napkins, straws, and crumbs scattered about. We had to request a cloth to wipe down our table. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, with only a handful of customers present. When my daughter and grandson went to pick up condiments to accompany their meals, they discovered that the packets were covered in a sticky substance for an unknown reason. When our meals arrived, the mac and cheese appeared fine at first glance, but we soon realized it was burnt on the bottom and inedible. It seemed as though the tables hadn’t been properly cleaned, despite the staff not being occupied. Some of the cooks were standing around and chatting, while the cashier was not fulfilling any duties. It felt like the employees either lacked motivation or had not received adequate training. I hope the restaurant can resolve these issues to avoid losing customers in the future.
