Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant has received a mix of reviews, with some diners having a perfect experience, raving about dishes like the Fettuccine Carbonara. Others were disappointed with the mandatory 4-course meal and found some dishes lacking in flavor and quality. However, many customers praised the owner's hospitality and the fresh, delicious food such as the pizza and gnocchi. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere, along with exceptional service and wine pairings, left many patrons eager to return. Overall, Novio's seems to offer a unique dining experience with a changing seasonal menu that delights most guests and offers something for everyone.
Best culinary experience in the area! Very recommended.
We like the quiet little environment. The food was very good. They were great to receive us when we were early due to changes in time in Bangor. Friendly, attentive staff. We can recommend this to anyone looking for a great dinner in the Bangor area.
When you sit at a table you are required to take the 4 course meal. We had cocktails to start which were weak for the price point. The 1st course was good. Gnocchi were fresh though too large to eat out lf a tiny cup. The crab toast was overpowered with red peppers killing the delicate flavor of the crab. The salad course was too out there for us. A salad with some lettuce would have been nice. None of.us ate the beets but the other option was not any more appealing. The main course was the most disappointing. The pork looked and tasted like a $5 pork chop from the grocery store. It was tough and flavorless and the sauce tasted like something from a jar and wasn't appealing. There was zero wow factor or love In this dish. The steak was also a disappointment. It was super thin and fatty. Reminded me of steak and eggs from the waffle house. The pasta dish was fresh and the best of all. The lemon tart was Tart and overall good. Ice cream was standard exactly what your would expect. Again nothing made us say wow. The wait staff was excellent snd the atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and inviting. I would not return for this disappointing menu but may try another night once it changes.
Amazing. Everything we had, from the recommended cocktails to the salads, entrees, and desserts, was exceptional. The salmon was delicious and I would order it again if I didn't want to try a bunch of other things on the menu next time I am in. My favorite restaurant in Bangor.
This restaurant was a bit difficult to locate as the sign was small and not illuminated, causing us to drive right by. However, once we found it and enjoyed our dinner, it was excellent! The restaurant operates on a reservation basis, but since we didn't have a reservation, we were able to sit at the bar. The service, meal quality, and atmosphere all received a top score of 5. The price per person for dinner ranged from $50 to $100.
