Was Octavia Vandervort at Fork Spoon a mag?
The food here was absolutely phenomenal! I got a chickpea quinoa salad and it was amazing! The smoothie I got I wasn't crazy over but that was my fault as it said it had ginger in it and I don't really like ginger. My only complaint would be that there aren't many smoothie options without agave, also the smoothies were a tad pricey for the size. View all feedback.

The service was a bit slow, but I believe it's typical for Maine. The salad I had was average. They were out of a few menu items I attempted to order, but they offered good alternatives. I also ordered the vegan chicken and they were quite generous with the portion size.
The service at this restaurant was extremely slow and the food was bland and unseasoned. There were very limited options for vegans. The next day, I went to Grind House down the street and had delicious vegan dishes, although they were a bit pricey.
Was so excited to come across somewhere catering to vegans while on my recent vacation. However, was extremely disappointed. Ordered a vegan tofu/kimchi/vegan cheese panini. To make it truly vegan, by asking for vegan bread, I was charged an extra 2 dollars. Really? Bread that’s vegan is not difficult to find. Long wait time to get food. I have to say this was hands down the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Ever. And I am not a picky eater. Literally a thick slice of tofu with zero seasoning. Not sure whether it was suppose to be hot or cold bc some areas were lukewarm, others cold. Although it was a panini the bread was super soggy. Fell apart. Vegan cheese had weird texture and the kimchi zero flavor. Couldn’t even eat half of the sandwich. They also offer vegan bakery goods but when I got there at 11am they were already gone.
Fork and Spoon in Bangor has transformed since its opening, initially operating as a vegan restaurant before incorporating meat options alongside vegetarian and vegan dishes. The menu clearly identifies the vegan and vegetarian options, which include sandwiches and salads. In addition to smoothies and quality coffee, the restaurant occasionally offers vegan baked goods. Although the shift away from a solely veggie-focused menu is disappointing, the abundance of vegetables in their sandwiches is commendable. Located near the Children's Museum, the restaurant is a convenient choice for families with kids. However, without children, customers may find the restaurant to be lively and crowded with families who have visited the museum.
